Restaurant "Au Fil Des Saisons" — Restaurant in Albi

Highly recommended for qualityn service, imagination and bake for money.

By my reckoning, Au Fil de Saison served the best meals we had during our week in the Tarn region. My wife thought it the second best... Certainly this was the only restaurant I visited twice.

My dishes were beautifully cooked and the recipes we more imaginative than I normally associate with French cuisine (a salad containing both chèvre chaud and goats cheese ice-cream?).

Service was also friendly and helpful, and the prices we better than the other (theoretically) comparable restaurants that we visited...

Really below average food. Way too highly priced for what you get in your plate, both from a presentation and quality perspective. The overall experience was poor, the service was somehow saved by a professional and experimented waitress after a young guy took every occasion to ruin our desire to stay, he had zero skills to work as a waiter and it wasn't obviously his first day. One positive note is the abundant wine list. There are way better options in Gaillac for the same price or cheaper. It's a shame really as the location has...

Dans l'ensemble positif, bien placé en qualité / prix. Mon avis porte sur une formule du jour (24,90€) avec un apéritif à 8€. (T 32,90€)

Positif : Les serveurs sont présents, accueillent avec une tenue correcte, le temps de service est lui aussi correct malgré la salle qui se remplissait au fur et à mesure, les produits sont frais, les assiettes sont bien présentées et avec une bonne quantité ni trop ni pas assez, pour tout. Elles donnent envie :) Entrée : Tartine avec une tranche saumon et de la crème très bon rien à dire. Plat : un filet de Lieu (très bien la cuisson) avec un bon coulis, accompagné de carottes et courgettes. Très bon ! Dessert : tartelette au citron faite maison il me semble bien j'ai oublié de demander, très bonne on n'a pas l'impression de manger que du sucre pour une fois même si il y en avait encore un peut trop à mon goût.

Négatif : Les verres n'étaient pas essuyés (plusieurs table) un petit coup serviette et hop nickel plus de traces. Apéritif : La quantité du whisky est petite surtout qu'il y avais un glaçon heureusement qu'il était bon pour 8€ et servi dans un verre tube pas et non pas à whisky où effectivement la quantité serai plus importante (+ 2 petits amuse gueule). J'ai trouvé la salle (la principale) "froide, pas très chaleureuse" malgré une faible musique de fond, ça fait un peu salle de réunion / bureau d'entreprise avec quelques décorations mais c'est propre, très important...
