Green Bagel Café Angers — Restaurant in Angers

The place is nice, but we had quite a ridiculous experience today : Ordered two hot chocolates with cookies on top (€5.50 each) We get asked what size we wanted them. We choose large, pay €11.40 and sit upstairs waiting.

After a bit a waitress comes with plain chocolate glasses, we ask for the cookies. The waiter consults another waitress who tells them to just top then up with cookies.

The chocolates are sent back and after a couple off minutes, come back to us. It's the same waitress who took the order bringing them up, that blames us for not ordering correctly. We just keep the chocolate to avoid arguing.

When going out, I check the price of plain chocolate and it was €3.40 each.

Customer impression: overcharged, not served with what we ordered. It would have costed literally nothing to the waitress to just fix the order or...

The café is conveniently located in the city center. The drinks is nice. Milkshake is ok. But Mocha frappé is ..hmm..not ok. It was sweet and had very light taste of coffee. No taste of chocolate like a mocha should be

Bakery looked good but tasted otherwise. Carrot cake is very crumbly. I dont know, maybe it is the way they want to it to be. But i surely had a better carrot cake. I also ordered 2 cookies to go. The seller gave me the burnt ones out of the other pieces she had. Maybe she knows that we are just visitors, not her regulars so she could do whatever she wanted with us though she seemed nice.

So this is why i gave one star to this café. BURNT COOKIES are NEVER...

The place is nice and comfortable but I was disappointed. First of all, the bagel is small, and for 7€ it's a bit expensive. The muffin was raw. Then I had to ask for the menu and the lady told me I couldn't have a side dish, even though it was marked as being included in the menu. What's more, the other person who arrived at the same time as me asked for a smoothie and asked for help because he didn't know what flavor to get with the lemon and the lady remained silent and left him helpless. The poor man chose the apple with the lemon so he got a very green...
