Der Jardin du Mail ist der Park für alle, die Ordnung lieben: Wege lotrecht, Beete im Gleichschritt, Hecken millimetergenau frisiert. Der zentrale Brunnen dirigiert das Wasser, als wäre es ein sehr pünktliches Orchester. Zwischen Dahlienparaden und symmetrischen Alleen fühlt man sich kurz wie in einem Tutorial für französische Gartenkunst – mit Bonuslevel „Keine Blätter auf dem Rasen“.
