This is a combination of the worst elements of industrialization and bureaucracy. The staff seem to be untrained in the basic elements of customer service, and have strict roles, like an assembly line. The food was okay, but uneven. Inexplicably, it is very busy, so you will have to wait a long time at every step just to be ultimately disappointed. It’s not very good value for money, even if you happen to have better service than we received. Angers has many very good restaurants. This is not one of them.
In response to the restaurant’s response, my partner speaks quite passable French and has no difficulty ordering in French. Here are some specific issues that may assist you in deciding if my expectations are unreasonable: We were seated in the furthest section, so we rarely saw staff. We were seated, but not provided menus until we finally asked for them. We told a staff person we were ready to order, and told by that person they could not take our order. No one came. We asked another staff person if we could order and they said they would tell our waitress. She eventually came. She insisted we (and every other table) that we had to tell her our drink orders first. That’s a bit odd. But when we told her we wanted our coffee after our meal she insisted that was not possible because of the brunch formula. Finally, she grimaced and agreed to let us drink our coffees after our meal. When we went to find her to tell her we were ready for our coffees, they were delivered tepid. On three occasions our food was delivered to other tables, or other tables food was delivered to us. Nobody asked about our meal, until we were already paying. In short, lots of different staff, nobody knew what they were doing, and...
Read moreThe experience in this place has been totally offensive. As soon as we entered, we were welcomed by a waiter who, without saying hello, good afternoon or any kind of greeting, told us "what do you want". We told him we wanted to have a drink on the terrace and without answering anything at all, he took us to the terrace. We sat down and he gave us a menu with drinks. All this without saying a word. Afterwards we were served by a guy to write down what we wanted to drink (this guy was correct and had good manners) and finally a waitress brought us the drinks. This girl, served the drinks in a bad way on the table and I, surprised by this behaviour (she seemed angry) I was astonished by the bad manners at the time of serving what we asked for and at this moment is when she made the following statement: "What is wrong? Is it not this what you asked for? The place is very nice, cosy and with a terrace that invites you to relax. With a relaxed atmosphere and a good location, but above all, what prevails is the lack of education and respect. I would not recommend or return to this...

I went to La cour on 8th March with my friends for the first time. It was raining cats and dogs so they had to close the restaurant. It had been 10-15mins that we had arrived and just got our drinks on the table that someone came to told ys that they are closing the bar because of rain water coming inside the premises. We were given plastic glasses to take our drinks outside and were asked to pay at the counter asap. You know what the drink got wasted in the rain lol.
Not the best experience I encountered or I was expecting from a restaurant that looks super nice inside. I would rather suggest you guys to find Maestro or other bars nearby.
Thanks and...
