Le Bistrot du Ponton — Restaurant in Annecy

we ordered some drinks and the server immediately became hostile, presumably because we thought the food was too expensive. the parasol was closed above our heads despite the restaurant still being open for another hour and when we asked for the bills the owner overcharged us and flat out refused to give an itemized bill despite us asking multiple times. everyone spoke only french and they were clearly annoyed ours wasn’t great.

in short, we were treated like dogs for overpriced drinks and rushed out in the least subtle way i’ve ever...

We went there with a reservation and were seated in the blazing sun under a closed umbrella . We asked several times to open said umbrella and were told no despite other tables in the shade . We were there 35 minutes before seeing a menu and only had drinks . The menu was limited but did not order food.

The view is nice but is on a busy road and our table was literally on the road with motorists coming by .

Having visited this restaurant many times in this and previous guises we went just for a drink this evening. We couldn’t sit by the lake as they were very busy but were offered a table outside the brasserie by the road. This was fine. However when we came to order a second drink we were told we couldn’t order one and had to leave! We’ve never ever been refused a drink at 7pm!!!! Staff were dismissive and rude.
