We adored this place. The lunch we had here ranks with the best dining experiences we’ve ever had anywhere on the planet. The location is stunning. The food and wine is superb. The hospitality is beautiful. The cost is very reasonable. Really, who would want more. This place had been recommended to us by a tour guide we met at a cafe in Annecy. She said, get the 10.15am boat, go to this little town, get off, have a wander around and then eat here at this restaurant. We had our doubts but she was 200% spot on. The locality of Taillores is superb. Lake Annecy itself is magnificent. This town on the lake is beautiful too. Like, picture postcard chocolate box perfect. There’s lots of sights to take in before you go to the restaurant itself. We took half an hour wandering around the area after getting off the boat. As soon as we got to the restaurant we asked for a table at the edge overlooking the water. It was a wise decision. The view is absolutely superb from there. I haven’t even got to the meal yet. We ordered croquant savoyard for entree. This was an incredible dish. Absolutely and utterly delicious. Cheese and bacon in filo pastry, essentially. Lovely salad with it too. Beautiful toasted pine nuts. Astonishingly good bread to go with it. A very generous serve overall as well. We only needed one between two people. It is a superb dish. Our bread was topped up between courses which was impressive. I had the Diot au vin blanc, local pork sausage in white wine with polenta for main course. I won’t mince words. These were the best sausages I’ve ever tasted. They had a deep rich flavour. They are without a doubt the best pork sausages I’ve ever had by about ten fold. Incredible flavour. I got quite distressed about three quarters of the way through this dish knowing that it was coming to an end. It was superb. Beautiful creamy sauce. Great polenta too with lovely rich flavour. Cute cherry tomatoes too. I loved it. My partner had steak tartare and thoroughly enjoyed it too. We shared some Glacé to finish, dark chocolate and raspberry with Chantilly cream. It was a perfect way to finish. The ice cream had significantly more depth of flavour than the Italian gelato we’d had in Italy Itself in the weeks before this meal. Service throughout the meal here was faultless. Warm, helpful, friendly and efficient. The overall cost of the meal was modest for the quality. We would recommend the restaurant highly.

Had a really nice meal here. Arrived late and without a reservation and the staff found us a table with a smile. I had a nice steak with their delicious fried potatoes and my wife had a great pizza. We were lucky to be seated outdoors on their terrace which has great views of the lake. Wine done by the bottle and also the carafe.

The kind of place where they're happy to take your money but don't expect any decent customer service. Spent 80€ and when leaving my son saw a lollipop. It was 50p and wanted to pay by card as I had no cash. I was told no card for that amount. I explained that we just spent 80 €and that giving out a lollipop would definitely be appreciated but I was told again no. Will definitely not go back. Next time I'll grab a picnic and sit at the...

Lovely pizza, nice beers, friendly waitress, great views! Tainted by the bald bartender taking our payment making the unnecessary comment “if you just want a pizza, go to the bar downstairs”. Next time just keep your comments to yourself. Sorry our pizza and 4 beers was not enough money for you. A word of advice to anyone coming to visit, make sure to shove as much food and drink into your gullet until your sick so he’s happy...
