Le Monte à Bord - SARL Compagnie de l'Huître — Restaurant in Arcachon

Was on a boat and had our skipper dropped us off at this place (yes, you can access this #restaurant by boat as well as land).

The owner of this restaurant is also an #oyster farmer like many others who live and work at #capferret so you can expect to have the freshest seafood (oysters particular 😉). It is not a large restaurant by any stretch of imagination but that is what is charming about this place: you can have a seat right at the beach with the view of the ocean and also walk around the back and see how they work the oysters.

Onto the food, we ordered a #seafood platter (oysters and #shrimp) with a bottle of #rosé. We had packed lunch in our boat so just ordered some #appetizers. They were super #fresh as expected and the owner was actually the one who opened our oysters so kudos for the service. The #wine was also impeccable as you can expect since you are in #france.

Cadre super avec pratiquement les pieds dans l'eau, les enfants passent et repassent devant votre table pour aller sur le sable...comme tranquillité pour manger il y a mieux! En ce qui concerne le plat tout était trop trop salé en particulier les huitres n'ont pas assez séjournée à la "claire" de plus on vous met du beurre demi sel en plus!!!, j'ai demandé du beurre normal il n'en avait pas! Messieurs, pensez à donner le choix de beurre à vos clients qui ont de l'hypertension...et ne me dites pas que les huitres se mangent avec un beurre demi sel...les crevettes aussi étaient salés servi avec du pâté aux piments d'Espelette...peut être fait exprès pour qu'on reboivent leurs bon vin blanc, seul les bulots était fades, eux par contre auraient dur être relevés! Dommage, on se faisait une joie pour cette sortie...la prochaine fois on ira déguster à coté en espérant que les produits seront...
