STAY AWAY. POOR QUALITY AND BAD VALUE FOR MONEY.

Visited Lourdes on a Sunday and ate here due to limited options. There was a bad smell which we were not sure if it was because the building was old or a hygiene issue. Server was nice and polite. We ordered miso soup, tea, fried chicken, grilled chicken, and fried prawns. Food quality was low and was not prepared using Japanese cooking techniques despite being a Japanese restaurant. For example, fried chicken was more of Chinese battered chicken and not similar to karaage. Yakitori chicken was supposed to be grilled. Prawn tempuras was OK but did they did not use panko breadcrumbs. Miso soup was too salty. Prices were quite expensive for the portion sizes we received. Rice was cold and probably from last night’s service and had a hair in it. I was not able to finish my meal despite being very hungry. I...

This place is by far the worst Asian restaurant I’ve been to. I was led here by the high star rating…but should have trusted my judgement when I stepped into the establishment. It smelled of sewage that one of my companions felt nauseous from it. Additionally, we were a table of seven people and we were the only ones in the restaurant and the only worker suggested we sit at two separate tables at first until I insisted we sit together. The miso soup, salad, fried chicken, and shrimp tempura were okay, but that was it. The yakitori was microwaved…I heard the microwave used each time right before yakitori orders came out. The waiter stated they also had no fish for the next three months so the “sushi” we got was one filled with smoked salmon and “cooked” tuna…really...

I am a tourist from China and I searched this gray whale restaurant on Google. The food in the restaurant is very good for my taste. Udon and ravioli are delicious . Sushi tastes very similar to what I ate in Japan. The owner is Asian and very friendly. The waiters are enthusiastic. Although their Chinese is not very good, there is no barrier to communication! This shop is a unique restaurant that is hard to find in this town. So...
