Café du Centre — Restaurant in Arles

'I don't care about Google reviews'. Ah, famous last words from the waitress behind the counter. Hands up who has toilet paper in their house and puts a new roll in there when it runs out? Yup, that's all of you! Alas, not the Cafe du Centre. Worse still, when my French wife politely asked for some, she was treated to a mouthful of abuse about being too busy serving clients (4 at my count). Too busy to put toilet roll in the ladies toilet.

Well, listen up, Cafe du Centre, the customers are your bread and butter, Google reviews will spare you no mercy, and a lack of toilet paper shows a basic lack of customer care and cleanliness. To top it all and give abuse to my wife for asking for it? Congratulations, you get a very rare one star from me (in the absence of being able to give zero) Readers, do yourself a favour, walk 10 metres to the Cafe du Fontaine. (Interestingly, some of the 5 star reviews and photos posted on Cafe du Centre have actually showed cafe de la Fontaine, the contributors posted a review for the wrong cafe). Cafe de la Fontaine (100 times better) gets a 5 star from us, and you will have great service, attentive waiters, atmosphere, and, wait for it..... the all elusive...

I sat down and waited for about 20 mins. When I managed to call one of waiters, he said that he could not do everything at the same time and walked away. Really poor service. I went next door and got served in less than 5 mins despite they were serving a lot of customers. September 10th...

Boire un verre à Maussane !

Que ce soit les ‘Locaux’ (dont nous faisons humblement parties depuis 3 ans) ou les ‘Touristes’ (de passages en notre superbe région) c’est l’unique endroit ou boire un verre en toute détente...

Une belle grande terrasse et un intérieur typique, avec un beau et grand comptoir à l’ancienne...

Un petit creux : Nous l’avons testée à de nombreuses reprises, que ce soit en journée ou en soirée... La planche fromages ou charcuteries régionaux ou mieux la ‘Mixte’ ! Copieuse et servie avec un panier de pain frai et du beurre... Avec une bonne bière, un verre de rosé ou encore un perroquet... Sur la belle place de Maussane, à l’ombre de ses platanes !
