A really unpleasant experience.
The food was pretty good, definitely no complaints here but hey, it's stone baked pizza and salad, I can get the same quality from any number of locations whilst at the same time guarantee the waiters attitude won't be as disgusting as it were here. You think I'm being a bit rotten, check out all my other reviews, I never leave a bad review.
Our waiter was beyond rude and arrogant, he was also argumentative and disrespectful. Waiting is a respected proffession in France and indeed thought the world, unfortunately this chap was an embarrassment to the trade, a little training wouldn't go amiss.
He also refused to speak French to our party of fluent French speakers, which is a shame because his English was broken and quite awful which made communication difficult and unfriendly.
I'm not going to lose any sleep over this as there's nothing really unique worth going back for, and we certainly wont be going back. I will however be informing as many people as I can about the dreadful service at Da Peppe.
I apologise for the lack of food images, I really wasn't...
Read moreIf you're looking for a top-notch Italian dining experience, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you'll be impressed by the size and beauty of the restaurant. Despite being full and with many people waiting, the waitstaff were quick to attend to us and make us feel welcome.
The standout dishes we enjoyed were the Pizza Parma and the Risotto Funghi. The pizza was freshly baked in an authentic stone oven, resulting in a crispy crust and delicious toppings. The Risotto Funghi was equally impressive, made with fresh and flavorful ingredients. It's clear that the restaurant prioritizes quality ingredients and takes great care in the preparation of their dishes.
All in all, this Italian restaurant exceeded our expectations and was the perfect spot for a romantic date. And defenitly better than all the restaurants nearby...

The pasta here was great! Handmade and finished by mixing in a Parma rind, it was absolutely delicious. The salad with goat cheese was also awesome, wonderful cheese, elegant dressing, lovely toast/crouton.
Which brings us to the Steak Frites special which was undeniably the worst steak I have ever had. It was likely Ribeye but was nearly devoid of fat and tough as an old boot. I did something unheard of and left 80% uneaten. I understand this might happen but the response of the staff was what really surprising. They could care less, collecting the nearly full plate without a word, asking how was everything but ignoring the answer. At checkout they asked again but clearly did not care. Completely...
