This is a great place to ride (bike) if you like 200 or so metre climbs. There are also many dirt roads and paths for mountain biking, as well as a multitude of hiking trails. The signage is variable but improving.

I love the Alpilles because their size is manageable, the geology is visible and fascinating, there are lovely villages scattered on the north and south sides of the hills, as well as the villages of Les Baux and Aureille, which are right in the middle of the limestone hills. Olive trees and vignards fill the interior valleys and the low approaches to this beautiful...

What a beautiful place. There are many ancient hill villages and quiet little hamlets tucked away in this hidden treasure of Provence. A must visit! Returned here again in September and October 2019 and as always, enjoyed this beautiful area of France. Enjoyed the experience at Carrieres de Lumieres and highly recommend this place. Parking here is a challenge and an underground parking garage is sorely needed! Visited Mas Ste Berthe winery and the setting is spectacular in the shadows of Les Baux and the wines and olives are reasonable and of high...

This is an incredibly beautiful area with lots of opportunities for nice walks and bicycling. The little mountains in the area are a joy to behold, and make for great views. The area is mostly very quiet, so no large queues of tourists all over the place, with the exception of only a few villages like Saint-Remy-de-Provence, although even there it is quite comfortable to walk still. You're also quite close to the sea if you want to gaze at some different views or hills ;) and beautiful towns like Uzes and the Pont du Gard can be quite close if you go to...

Not impressive if someone is looking for action but very beautiful in its colour and the incredible fauna & flora. The soft grey rocks look like pressed up from und this green carpet. Agriculture, leisure (golf) and park combine harmonic. The only downside is, the information and maps from the tourist office do not match the information and tours described on the information at the parking. And the name or location of the parking is not to find in google.
