Maison Drouot — Restaurant in Arles

We were in Southern Rhone for a few weeks and were referred to Julien and Claire by a dear friend who lives in Chateauneuf du Pape. We hired Julien and Claire to cook dinner for two nights in our rental villa in Lamotte du Rhone and they did an amazing job. The dishes were Michelin-star quality. We paired our own wines for the dinners we hosted in our villa but they can also provide wines from their restaurant if you request it.

We loved Julien and Claire and their dishes so much that we decided to schedule lunch at their in-home restaurant the following week. Again the food was amazing. Another major highlight was their wine list. I won’t mention what’s on their wine list but let’s just say it’s a great list and there are some unicorns.

As we stayed for holidays in Maussane, I came across this restaurant on Google, assured us to have a table and looked very much forward to this dinner. I'm absolutely a fan of the concept: limited amount of seats, a fix menu and an open kitchen with the chef and hostess to warmly welcome you. It was absolutely a highlight. We enjoyed all courses with fresh and high quality ingredients, got paired glasses of wine. Fantastic and friendly restaurant. I would highly recommend this very special and unique restaurant.

The food was delicious and they were very accommodating of my dietary requirements. Every course was carefully crafted, beautifully presented and really tasty! The open kitchen and seating area are beautifully designed.
