MDR!!! I love the owners responses to the WHINERS here...most of them seem young, or in their "Entitled Millennial" years!! There are so many mentions of "we waited five minutes...." If you don't have more than five minutes of your PRECIOUS time...maybe you should find a McDOO-DOO or a StarSUX where you can fill up on one of their Pumpkin Cream Cold Brews [99% SUGAR!] for 10euro... Although I live in the US in New England I worked for IHG [InterContinentalHotelGroup] for over thirty years and traveled all over the world..I make it a point to always avoid American tourists ANYWHERE in the world. I am sure that if the employees they complain about...."She made us wait five minutes and wouldn't look at us and then another five minutes while she brought our wine with ICE..." were so inclined to dump a bucket of ice water over their heads it would be justified and I wish I could watch!!! :P Do your research before you travel and if you expect everything to be done "the way they do it in Wisconsin"....then just STAY HOME...go to Paris in Las Vegas and tell your friends you went to France...most of them won't know the...

I am surprised to see so many positive reviews here. Although the atmosphere in place is lovely, and charming, even in colder seasons, the service is horrible! I lived nearby, and I went there for a while for breakfast because it was convenient. In all this time I've never gotten so much as a smile, or a kind off-script word, or any sort nice gesture of any sort. On the contrary, I was dealt with in a classless hurry that always made me feel like I was more of an annoyance than a client. I thought they were nice enough to the locals, but after a few weekends of this, it was the same. I got tired and only ever came back if really there is no other option. If you like stereotypical "France" they have it all, from wonderful baguette to terrible coffee, including the stereotypical rudeness and borderline chauvinist...

Server (woman) was extremely rude and unfriendly. If I could give them a zero I would. I realize I’m a tourist in your country but we were just trying to have a nice lunch with our two daughters and they were having trouble figuring out the menu. If you don’t want tourist then put a sign up or close your borders. Or find another business to be in other than a service business in a tourist town. Unfortunately our daughters left France with a very bad view of your Country. And the owners response sums up exactly why they are so rude! The waitress was rude to my daughters...it wasn't that we couldn't figure out the menu but the rude response and impatience to visitors to your establishment.
