GODO Sushi & StreetFood Agde — Restaurant in Béziers

We came for the opening of this brand new restaurant on Wednesday. There are lots to be mentioned .

Firstly the team was terribly organised.

There were a few customers lined up before they opened the doors at exactly 12:00. I submitted my order on screen at 12:01. But their digital ordering system was flawed so I had to order again at the counter, where I was the 4th in line but my order only got submitted to kitchen at 12:15. My food was served at 12:33, without providing napkins or right amount of sauce and wasabi . There were 9 or 10 people behind the counter, looked pretty busy, but not efficiently. There were a second tail but not used. Overall today at lunch they looked very noob so that was one star off. Guess it was the first day so let’s hope they will get better soon.

Ambiance is alright.

Clean and industrial-modern interior. The toilets were not indicated with signs. No baby chairs provided. Kitchen looks small and crowded. Extra seating area on terrace.

Fortunately the food was pretty decent.

Sushi were delicious, sides came in generous portions. My pad Thai was a bit too sweet but I have to mention that my shrimps were well cleaned on their backs!

Sorry for the four stars rating but I hope I’m providing genuine and constructive feedbacks.

Generally I would come again. I will review my comment in 10 days. (Hopefully my experience will be much better then)

This is an update after a second visit: It was much calmer this time. Ordering machines worked. Food was prepared without misunderstanding.

I have to say their signature sushi “dragon tataki “ is excellent 👌! Cali rolls spicy tempura were crunchy , Nigiri salmon avocado melt in month, Maki with fromage blanc filling was surprisingly delicious!

Overall 5 stars well deserved!

The service is not amazing, not a single smile from the staff. Wakame salad was good. BUT when I pay 13€ for a Pad Thai, I’m expecting to get a Pad Thai. Instead I come home, open the bag and inside I find some rice noodles with a random sweet and sour sauce which has nothing in common with a traditional pad Thai sauce. Moreover, it had no egg, no tofu, no peanuts. But, for some reason you decided to add bell pepper, mushrooms and onions in this so called “Pad Thai”. What a disappointment, it was the worst pad Thai I ever...

Un fast-food qui vous force à être plus que patient ! En résumé : Commande passée à la borne pour 3 personnes à 20h47, repas servi à 22h... Pour les non matheux cela fait presque 1h et quart d'attente. En détail : Ne connaissant pas ce restaurant nous appelons pour savoir si l'on peut réserver. On nous dit aucun souci il y aura de la place. Sur place nous découvrons un fast-food en effet il y avait beaucoup de place disponible. 20h47 nous enregistrons notre commande à la borne. 21h20 toujours rien, nous discutons avec 2 jeunes filles à côté qui attendent aussi depuis 20min. 21h30 je vais demander s'ils n'ont pas oublié notre commande, on me dit qu'il y a "un peu de retard". 21h40 mon mari retourne voir le comptoir, "on vient de commencer à préparer notre commande". 21h50, nous sympathisons avec d'autres clients désabusés. 22h le bipper sonne enfin, aucune excuse du personnel, 1h15 d'attente dans un fast-food avec personne en terrasse et une salle à moitié vide pour un repas englouti en 3min cela ne m'était jamais arrivée...
