Paradise Kafé — Restaurant in Basse-Terre

Another great spot to eat, drink and watch the sun set in Deshaies.

The drinks are very good here - as should be, the rum punch is excellent.

The food here was also surprisingly good. Asian influences abound, and the menu is a beautiful selection of well thought through and executed dishes, that delight the taste buds (and fill the stomach!). Its very clean and fresh flavours.

There is a Tapas menu of mainly fried dished that are great to share while consuming the local rum.

The staff are very helpful and happy to serve. English may not be their first language - but they made us feel at home as we attempted to communicate what we wanted.

Prices are a little higher than most ... but all in all worth it!

Well worth a visit for a drink at sunset and you may just find yourself there for a lot longer and ordering many drinks and some...

Came here last year, came back to the island this year just to eat here. So if don't eat here I am sorry for you. I wish the staff could come home with us. Message to people who think service is slow, good food takes time. Stop being in a rush relax enjoy your time with friends and family they could be gone tomorrow. If you want fast food from a microwave then way did you come to this island in the first place. Message to all Americans (i am one) you have to make reservations at restaurants if you want to eat at them. Our mistake last year we found out fast. Don't complain about waiting an hour for your bill. When your done go to the bar pay say thank you and leave. Open your world, learn about the custom of where you are going and you will have a better time. But for the love of...

Paradise Kafé – le cœur qui bat sur la baie de Deshaies 🌅🍹⚓

Si vous avez déjà vécu un coucher de soleil à Key West, alors préparez-vous à vivre l'équivalent antillais, version encore plus intime et magique, au Paradise Kafé. Niché au bord de la baie de Deshaies, ce lieu encore un peu inconnu du grand monde est un vrai spectacle : des dizaines de petits et grands rafiots dansent sur l’eau, chaque bateau racontant sa propre histoire… et le ciel s’enflamme lentement, comme pour saluer la journée.

Les pieds dans le sable, un p’tit punch à la main, des amis autour, la mer en toile de fond : c’est tout simplement la définition du bonheur. L’ambiance est à la fois paisible et joyeuse, une vraie fraternité flottante. À la barre, Anne et JM, deux âmes bienveillantes, accueillent avec le sourire sans oublier le staff Amélie et tous les autres. JM, le boss, est un personnage atypique, attachant, fait de délicatesse et de chaleur humaine. On se sent tout de suite comme à la maison… version tropique.

Le restaurant est décoré avec goût, mêlant objets artisanaux et ambiance bohème chic. Le spot est idéal pour ceux qui mouillent au port, ou simplement pour les amoureux du beau et du bon.

Côté cuisine, le plaisir est au rendez-vous. Le Bo Bun Royal (x2 !) est à la hauteur : généreux, savoureux, équilibré. Mention spéciale à Anne, qui cuisine avec finesse, cœur et passion.

Et puis la soirée glisse doucement vers la nuit… On rit, on trinque, on partage un Rhum et encore, les yeux encore perdus dans les reflets de la baie.

Paradise Kafé, c’est un instant suspendu, une table d’amitié où chaque moment devient un souvenir précieux. On y revient....
