café Du centre, Bar - brasserie — Restaurant in Beaune

Ate and drank here last night. As a couple of none speaking French pair, we were very impressed by the lovely young member of staff who was very patient with us and helped us with our food and drinks orders. My husband chose the beef bourgeon with pasta and I chose the bacon and cheddar burger. Both dishes absolutely superb. We ordered a glass of the local red and it was very good, however in hindsight we should have opted for a bottle as at €8 per 125ml it would have worked out cheaper. Ambiance In restaurant was wonderful and lots of locals appeared to dine here too, which is always a good sign. Thank you to the staff who helped us out. Highly recommend...

Food is excellent and the service is great...I had a fantastic experience at Cafe du centre ! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Attrape touriste !!! Fuyez !!!!

La Bourgogne de notre enfance a bien changé, nid touristique sur la route des vins, nous espérions trouver ici un bistrot sympa pour manger en évitant les gastro "attrape-anglais"... C'est loupé ! Derrière des formules attractives (menu à 15€ et menu à 20€) se cachent des aberrations indignes de professionnels de la restauration. Avec deux bières, deux digestifs, une formule à 15€ et une formule à 20€, nous étions loin d'imaginer une note à plus de 70€ ! C'est en demandant le détail que nous nous rendons compte : nous avons fait l'erreur de demander un accompagnement patate/salade au lieu de simplement des patates... Une salade verte facturée 6€50 !!! + Un service en terrasse facturé 2€... Je veux bien que la crise sanitaire soit difficile pour tous, mais là ça s'appelle prendre ouvertement les gens pour des cons ! Il y a des restaurants qui auraient mieux fait de ne jamais réouvrir... Surtout vu le service déplorable qui ne méritait pas d'être facturé en supplément vu qu'inexistant... Des petits jeunes même pas formés et pas du tout faits pour ce métier (obligées de les solliciter toutes les 5mn, ils étaient perdus les pauvres et livrés à eux mêmes, ne connaissaient pas leurs produits ni leur carte... il manquait toujours quelque chose, attendu au moins 20mn avant qu'on vienne nous voir pour savoir si on voulait encore quelque chose ou Payer)... C'est ça l'avenir de nos resto ? Embaucher des gens vaccinés plutôt que des gens qualifiés ???

La veille nous mangions dans un traditionnel bouchon lyonnais rue mercière pour le même prix !!! Bouchon dans lequel la qualité y était également bien...
