"Dear" L'Amarone, As we arrived at the âItalianâ restaurant and told the host ( an old small man) in good French that we had a reservation for 4 people, the host bursted out in laughing because of my accent and it gets worse, he starts mocking my accent towards his colleague not very friendly I would say. We asked for a table outside, but that was absolutely impossible because of the bad weather ( apparently the boss doesnât like the sun) , but at the end I saw people sitting there?? were they ghosts?
The host brought us to our table which was set for 3 people, we were patiently waiting for the 4th chair but after 5 mins of waiting we decided to do it ourselves. With the entree we got dirty plates, as we tried to ask for a new clean plate it took at least 10 mins until we could get in contact with the waiter to get a new clean plate and at the end we never got it. Then the main course, we had a pasta carbonara, I know the Italians like Al dente, but this was just too too hard, and it was a tasteless pasta.... as the pizza was also raw we were very very unhappy with this whole experience. Letâs continue with the drinks, Coca Cola should be carbonated, that wasnât the case at Lâamarone, I donât know if Mister ââ I speak perfectly well French â stocks the cola in the sun, but it shouldnât taste like that. A tip for the waiter maybe start pouring in the glasses and...
Read moreWe found this restaurant on google during our one night stay in Beune on the way to Paris. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They had one staff who spoke English and were very considerate to get that staff member to take our orders and explain the special wine that we ordered. Food was great, we loved the pizza with sicilian pesto and sundries tomatoes. The kids meal had dessert included which we ordered for our daughter but the owner (David, not sure about the correct name) gave the dessert to our son as well even though he didnât order the kids meal (on the house). When we finished our meal it was raining outside. We called an Uber to go back to hotel but there was no driver available. The owner saw us waiting at the door and came to ask twice of how we were going back. When he realised we couldnât get Uber & the rain was not stopping, he offered to drop us at the hotel in his car. We were speechless for his act of kindness and will never forget the extra mile he went to help us out. This was our first experience like that ever in any restaurant that we went to. Not only the food was good but the kind and friendly behaviour from all staff made our experience unforgettable. We would love to eat at there restaurant again...

Let's see boss..?!
GRAZIE MILLE ALBERTO...
