We greeted and asked the man at the bar in French if he spoke English, not because we expected him to but simply because our French is limited. It’s not a problem that he didn’t, if he had just said no, we would’ve continued trying our French, but when we asked he said NO, and turned away from us and talked to someone else at the bar and completely ignored us. We stood there a little longer but he wouldn’t even look at us at all and basically shunned us so we just left. It was rude and uncomfortable but maybe that’s who he is. I had a vegetarian Burger at Café Salé yesterday and I don’t usually go there but because all of our office colleagues were going to have lunch there, I decided to try food there for the first time. Soon after I had just the Burger with a weird veg patty inside, I started feeling as if I had had something oily. And not sooner was I throwing up all that I had eaten. I don’t know what was wrong with it, but there was definitely something wrong with the Vegetarian Burger there that I ordered. For 14.5€, I got a spoiled Burger, wasted my work hours and spent the rest of the day in bed after losing all the energy from vomiting. I really want to alert the customers about this place. Ceux qui seraient à la recherche d’un endroit paisible pour dîner, un bon conseil : passer votre chemin. En revanche ceux qui ne sont pas insensibles à une atmosphère joyeuse et chaleureuse c’est le lieu qu’il faut absolument connaître à Montreuil. Le Vendredi et Samedi soir, c’est même la foule. Mais quelle ambiance! Quelle est la recette d’un tel succès ? S’agissant de la restauration, c’est l’excellent rapport qualité-prix qui saute aux yeux. C’est très bon et à un prix raisonnable. Pour ma part, j’avais choisi un plat (Une Souris d’Agneau à la Fleur de Thym). Elle était à tomber, fondante et savoureuse. Je me suis régalé. En plus à 14€, c’est vraiment un prix mini. J’ai d’ailleurs souvent pris ce même plat, ailleurs et à qualité égale pour 20€ ! Mes amis, eux, avaient choisi un Couscous Mixte (Merguez + Brochettes d’Agneau). Le bouillon est tout simplement succulent. Sa couleur, son goût, ses légumes frais fondants et « non surgelés ». De plus, les viandes sont tendres et juteuses. Je n’ai pas pu m’empêcher de picorer dans leur plat. Un délice, et ce, seulement pour 12,50€ ! Aussi, les serveuses sont à la fois très accueillantes et efficaces. Les barmen également sont très pros. Ils prennent en charge le bar (C’est normal vous me direz) mais en plus ils ont un œil sur la salle et ne rechignent pas à la tâche quand cela est nécessaire pour prêter main forte au...
