Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt's one thing to make a dish look pretty, but for all the pretty decor to taste as outstanding, whilst having each detail contribute to the flavors is what takes Blind to a whole different league!! Hidden gem!!!
I had never gone on a solo dinner, but Blind, it's beautiful terrace and its attentive service made it a truly unforgettable evening. I am born and raised in Latin America, I have tried Peruvian dishes around the world, but i had never had anything like this. It is beyond! Pamela (the sweetest server) suggested the Calamar al Olivo (comes with 2 sauces one al olivo and one of peruvian spices, making that dish 2 amazing and different experiences on it self) , followed by the Ceviche de Pescado accompanied with a white wine (ceviche had the freshness, and a balance of citrus and sweet with the tiger milk and sweet potato additions)(generous serving for a ceviche!! perfect serving size). The presentation was amazing, but the flavors were... wow, perfect combinations. I was at a loss for words. I then learned the two cheffs are from Peru, and it is noticeable through every detail they have put in that plate. 11/10 experience, atmosphere, service and food. would go again millions of times if i could. This is a must try for sure.
Mi gente latina!! Este siiiiii tiene el sabor a casa!!!...

For a starter I ordered the foie gras ravioli which was nice but while I was expecting rich and luxuriant, the fois gras serving was limited. Presentation was excellent, however. For the main course I had braised beef which was served with quinoa and rice. The meat itself seemed overcooked and was dry. The meat was badly butchered with what appeared to be silverskin that had not been removed. The more traditional choice of a serving with mashed potato or vegetables replacing the rice and quinoa would probably have been preferred. I'm not sure the experiment with the carbohydrates was a successful one. This was the part of the meal I began to lose confidence in the chef. Finally, I had the brownie which came pleasantly warm. However, the brownie was dry and clearly over cooked and should only have left the kitchen by way of the bin. The lucuma the brownie was served with was nice enough to stop me sending the plate back.
The blind tasting of the wine is an interesting concept and service was good with a...
