My husband and I visited Bordeaux, after a full day of enjoying the city, we decided to end our day in a restaurant with a beautiful view of the Exchange Square and the Fountain "Three Graces", which is opposite, on the opposite bank of the river, and restaurant is called Estacada. Unfortunately, it was not possible to get through by phone for 1.5 hours, no one answered the phone call, and we took a chance, only the view and the panorama of Bordeaux did not disappoint. So, everything turned out to be reserved, and we decided to sit on the terrace, waiting for the free table, but, during 2.5 hours we had looked few free tables during this time, no one offered us to sit at a table in the restaurant, we were from 18.50 to 21.30 ... And all this time, minmum 3 tables were free. The waiters - arrogantly refused our requests for a table. There is no administrator (manager) who manages the booking of the table, i guess 2.5 hours for 2 dishes or simle salad (I wanted just salad) would be quite enough, but the restaurant does not need additional profit after quarantine ... The operative / snacks on the terrace are not tasty, I could eat only cheese, olives and bread , from fried squid and sausages, my husband felt bad at night. I do not recommend visiting if you do not want to ruin your evening. Sometimes in French the restaurants waiters are very arrogant and...

Option 2: On remplace l’huître.

What a great view of Bordeaux from this restaurant, especially on a sunny day. We opted for choices from the a la carte menu rather than the menu du jour. My St Jacques with paella risotto was really tasty and my husband enjoyed his lamb tenderloin - while tasty it was not as tender as he’d hoped. The biggest negative was the waiter. We asked for Schweppes agrum which he said wasn’t available so we then asked for lemon or lemonade. He returned with 2 opened bottles of tonic water. When we said that it wasn’t the same he insisted it was and went off in a huff to replace them. After that he wouldn’t make eye contact so we ended up ordering from another waiter. It’s the first time we’ve experienced such arrogance in all the years we’ve been travelling around France. So I doubt very much that we’ll...

If you’re staying in Bordeaux it would be easy to miss this place because it’s across the river from the main city….but you do not want to miss this place. Beautiful food, great service and a gorgeous view of the city. We were the only non-French speaking clients and they treated us so wonderfully. The vegetable carpaccio was super fresh and we had the shrimp tempura and the scallops on pasta beads - both delicious — and the pasta bowl was so clean when I was done they probably didn’t even have to wash it! The wine list was great - not super extensive but all the right kinds of choices. It was our last night after 10 days and we are so glad we dined here. A must next time we are in Bordeaux!

L’Estacade in Bordeaux is an excellent spot for an aperitif or a sunset dinner date. I was truly blown away by the meal. The fresh veggie carpaccio was light, crisp, and refreshing—everything you want from a summer salad. The scallops were cooked to perfection, served alongside a generous portion of pearled couscous with pesto and guanciale that was both flavorful and filling. The service was pleasant, adding to the overall experience. Plus, no reservation is required, making it a convenient and delightful choice for a memorable evening.
