Reply to store:First of all, thank you to the store for the quick reply! However, my questions have not been answered or resolved. The waiter served in a hurry and impatiently. Instead of changing the tableware, he threw the tableware aside in a hurry, causing the sauce on the plate to fall onto the tablecloth and onto the cuff of my right hand. The first glass of rosé champagne before the meal was served in a red wine glass instead of a champagne glass, which was slightly unprofessional. Because the waiter kept urging us to leave quickly, at least half of the entire bottle of wine we ordered, which cost more than 100 euros, was left with no time to finish it, which was wasted. The waiter’s introduction was very fast, and he left in a hurry before I could hear him clearly or ask questions (my headphones did not play the audio, which did not affect my hearing). The Taiwanese waiter was not in charge of our table, but only occasionally came to help with questions. The taxi driver sent me to the wrong address, and then we took a long detour to get to the restaurant, so we paid double the fare. On the way, I called the restaurant to explain the problem: the driver drove me to the wrong address. late for traveling
Original: I have been in France for more than a week. I guess after comparing the service in other French restaurants, I feel that the service in this restaurant is not very good. First of all, not only did they not change the cutlery after each dish, they also threw my fork and spoon directly on the table, leaving the sauce on the tablecloth (other French restaurants will replace new knives and forks for every dish) Several local waiters were in a hurry when they introduced it. They finished speaking quickly and hurriedly walked away before being heard clearly. Fortunately, there was a Taiwanese waiter who introduced again carefully (otherwise, he would have received zero points for service). There seemed to be air leakage in the window seat. I felt a little cold after eating and suddenly had a stomachache. However, the blond waiter asked me three times if I wanted to order more coffee and tea. Fortunately, the Taiwanese waiter poured me some hot water and it made me feel better. We ordered a whole bottle of wine but had half a bottle left. The waiter rushed us to leave. He asked us three times if we wanted coffee and hurriedly took away our plates from the table. Our first glass of champagne was given by the waiter in an ordinary red wine glass... He did not change the champagne glass... He did not pay much attention to details.
The overall food is okay, but there is no harm without comparison. Compared with the Son' Oftheson and Le 428 that I ate a few days ago, the per capita consumption was only a little over 60 euros, but the experience and service were very good. Today, two people ate at this restaurant for 393 euros, but The experience was very bad. Fortunately, there was a Taiwanese waiter who was very enthusiastic and patient enough to introduce the dishes to us and bring us clothes when we went out. Otherwise, I would be extremely...
Read moreMy wife and I booked a lunch menu - together with a glass of wine for a price of ca. 75€ per person.
Food The starter was a bit odd with a gooey, very sweet cube with some sort of grated cheese on the outside, not a great combination. I was also not a fan of the Japanese inspired first course as it had a very odd texture and the flavours were oddly combined. The main was very delicious (cod) and the fish was cooked perfectly. The third course was a cheese platter - unfortunately the cheese was „sweating“ when we got it which could be related to the fact that the cheese was stored at room temperature and no sun protection right next to our table. The bread that came with it was quite average and a bit dry. The dessert was also fine but again nothing to write home about.
Service We were served by four different waiters, unfortunately they did not seem to communicate with each other and they asked us the same questions about food preferences several times and were also misinformed about the available menu choices. One waiter got annoyed when he learned that we only speak English and stopped explaining the dish (he only said it was cod, the rest was explained in French which we do not understand.
That said, the other waiters were very friendly and nice.
Summary Overall, an OK experience but for this price I expect a higher quality. My wife and I have been to a number of fine dining restaurants and this one was unfortunately one of the worse...
Read moreFollowing the positive recommendations group of 8 Friends have visited Le Cent 33 for a dinner. We have booked the restaurant prior to visit and happily there was one last large table available. Starting from the entrance till the end of our dinner we ware charmed with atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent services. It was our last evening of trip to San Sebaastian and Bordeux and before departure we had a truly remarkable experience. We have decided to take 6 course pairing menu - "Degustation" and it has not disappointed us. 2 of our friends have some allergy on different foods and restaurant has kindly took care of it by substituting the ingredients for their meal. Food was delicious and well presented, and well paired with some interesting wines from different regions of France (it had to be mentioned that wine card consisted of some selection of international wines as well). The restaurant is more on an expensive side but it paid off with food and excellent services. Chef Fabien was kind to come across and talk to guests during the evening giving the hint of who is the host in this place. Would definitely recommend to go and...
