Sixth and final Indian Restaurant that I will try in Bordeaux.
Sorry Bordeaux (or maybe France) but since living here (4 years), I have never found one Indian restaurant that does Indian cuisine some justice. Unfortunately Royal Indien, you are are also at the bottom end if my list.
I didn't give a 1 star because the food was edible and hasn't made me sick (yet).
I could list numerous issues but the main one is the description of the Jal Frezi didn't at all match- It wasn't spicey at all (unlike the description), it didn't have vegetable pieces in it (like the international recipe) and also contained cheese (which wasn't listed or is not part of the international recipe). Just don't call it a Jal Frezi, call it something else... I know I didn't get the wrong dish as well because it was one of the only dishes which included prawns- which was also the only thing that matched the description.
Also worth noting that the butter chicken that my wife ate literally tasted like melted butter with a pathetic amount of spices added too...
Also, just like food in general recently, WAY over priced for the portion size and/or quality if products used.
Sorry for my negative words but it's the fair truth. I hope this review helps you up your game for...
