Excellent food, wonderful restaurant, good staff. If you are a non french visitor to this restaurant please check the bill before you pay.
We found 27 euros more charged and was not a mistake added more on various stuffs.
Just because you do not know french and you order something you have not tasted before doesn't mean we dont know what we have eaten.
We took 2 menus with 3 courses They charges us the complet menu plus the dessert which was included in the menu seperately which they know exactly what they were doing.
We took a 2 glasses of white wine after a few sips we asked the whole bottle which was opened newly and served to us. In the bill we were charges 2 glass of wine plus 1 bottle of wine. The wine was costing 17€ on menu card they charged us €21. I.e for 1 bottle of wine costing 17€ they charged €21 + 3.50 x 2= €7 vine glass.
Total €4 extra on vine bottle plus 2 x 12.5cl vine glass €7= €11. Extra
In total they tried to get €27 extra then what we have consumed.
When we said the bill was wrong due to other french costomer on the till they gave us back the money.
Beaware always check what you consume.
The owner and the waiter a long guy with glases both play this games with every non french speaking coustomer.
Regards Citizen of the world.
P.s. I will go in the restaurant again because of the good food and hospitality but will check the bill if been...
Read moreTerrible experience. We arrived at 8pm and received our food at 9:30pm. We were seated on the covered terrace, but the roof was broken and it had a hole. We asked to put on the heating, which was hanging above our head, but they refused. After one hour and a half waiting for the food in the cold, we had to ask if we could at least get a basket of bread, so our kids could at least eat something. We complained about the service and the condition of the restaurant, but we were informed that they were in some sort of legal fight with the terrace building company. The clients apparently have to just accept the consequences. The food is decent, but doesn’t taste if you have to wait one hour and a half in the cold. Our wine was finished by the time our food arrived and we were stone cold. No excuses or compensation offered at all. Avoid this place by all means. Any other...
Read moreWe had a delicious lunch here. I had the fish ravioli, which was nice, but the seafood bisque it was served with was sensational. They could maybe offer a bit more in the way of translation because we thought that the starter, that two of us ordered, was going to be beef and it turned out to be ham, "côté de terre" just translates as "of land side". The owner and staff were very friendly and welcoming and the level of service was excellent. It is always nice to find a restaurant were the owner has taken particular pride in their establishment. While it wasn't exactly cheap I would say that it represented excellent value for money. We'll definitely come back the next time we're...
