Restaurant Chez Mimi — Restaurant in Boulogne-sur-Mer

We ordered moules a la crème. 1 minute after ordering, the mussels arrived on the table. We were full of expectations, but the mussels were substandard, even bad. Two-thirds of the mussels were closed and those that were open were misshapen or too small. They were also almost impossible to detach from the shell, i.e. not cooked. No mussel sauce was included. The chips were greasy and limp without any sauce. We informed the waiter that we were not satisfied. We had hoped for an alternative compensation, but all we got was a mini glass of liqueur, with the contents of a teaspoon. Ridiculous! NO we cannot recommend this restaurant at all...

This place has horrible service. They tried to overcharge us, first by coming up with an extra charge in person. Then, when we refused to pay it, by putting a different extra charge on our bill and not telling us.

The waiters would literally roll their eyes at us and would throw stuff on the table in a really rude way. Additionally, the wait was too long for the dishes and, especially, the coffee. They also forgot about the coffee and the water we ordered. When reminded, they were rude and made us wait again.

Definitely don't recommend this place, avoid...

Great atmosphere and our seafood platter was great. Although I refused to make an issue about it at the restaurant, I had very sand "couteaux snakés". A few shells were broken, also resulting in shell fragments embedded in the couteaux. Also, when asking for a drink, the waitress misheard me twice, said she would bring the drink, but turned up with a wrong drink. Mishearing someone is no big mistake, but if you're visibly in doubt, triple checking seems the best response. Other than that, atmosphere was great, food was good. Definitely...
