Horrible place. Arrived to eat a bite, we got told that the kitchen is almost closed but we can still order some fries and a piece of cake. They tell us to sit in the terrace area and somebody will be with us.
20 minutes go and nobody arrives. I have to get the attention of the (terrible) waiter that comes to us. As soon as I open my mouth to talk in English, he goes “here we go” sarcastically and turns on the other side to get the order from the table next to us, in French. Table that of course arrived after us. Amazing service, what else to say.
After deciding to give us some attention, he informs us that the Kitchen is closed, even for the cakes. I wonder if this also a special treatment for foreigners or just a result of taking 20 minutes to get an order. Anyways, we cannot get food, we order 2 hot chocolates.
Let me tell you, the worst hot chocolate I have ever had in my life. Dirty cups, semi warm milk with some cocoa powder.
I have been to bad places, but this tops many of them. Tables were in conditions that would make a chicken coop look clean.
Just avoid stopping, ski/hike down and go somewhere else. The risk is to ruin a perfectly nice day with these disgraceful people.
To the staff: there are other jobs you can do, I would quit with this because it’s clearly...
Read moreNot sure if you can book but if not ARRIVE EARLY! A combination of very few options on the slopes, it having pedestrian access by the bubble, being near the rollercoaster and a huge south facing terrace make this very busy. I think we waited an hour for a table but enjoyed the sun and chips (and occasional waiting staff dance/singing!) while waiting. There is a snack bar and "cheap tables" at the front, then a bar/lounging area and then the restaurant, go and get your name on the list then waiters will get you drinks as you settle into squidgy chairs. Menu is pricey but again, slope prices, portions HUGE, staff exceptional. We went back a second day for puddings at about 2:30/3pm which was lovely. Toilets are not very pleasant, best going to the loos underneath the bubble just...
Read moreWould have been 5 stars had it not been for the deafening "music" being blasted at the dining room from time to time. Luckily it was not continuous so we were able to stay to eat the otherwise fantastic food - proper restaurant menu and very well prepared dishes, better than most eateries on ski slopes. They have a separate area for food via table service, different from the tables for bar-only customers. Also a very large terrace. Prices not cheap, but commensurate with quality and location.
DON'T TURN THE VOLUME UP TO OUTDOOR LEVELS FOR THE INDOOR DINING ROOM - YOUR CUSTOMERS PREFER TO LEAVE WITH THEIR...
