Normally we can trust the Michelin guide for recommendations but they were totally wrong on this one. There were not too many diners and quite a lot of staff so they hung around chatting amongst themselves. As a result, service was patchy and haphazard and most of the food turned up rather cold. We had one starter (sweet prawn ravioli) which, although colder than it should have been, tasted great and set our hopes high but the rest of the food was quite underwhelming. The wine list was ok but hugely overpriced compared to other local restaurants offering the same bottles. Overall, it was mostly adequate, rarely special so I don't understand why Via Michelin recommended it as it was below par for the guide in so...

No mention of this in the dish. He is allergic to oysters and so would not have ordered had he known. But apparently it is our fault for not mentioning it, not that they asked if we had any allergies. They would not refund has the cost of the one dish as he lost a days skiing. The hotel/restaurant lost out on our custom. The whole place lacked in atmosphere. How it is listed in the Michelin Guide I don't know, there are much better restaurants...
Read moreReally surprised this appeared in the Michelin Guide as it fell short in every respect. We had a starter that was pretty good although it had clearly been left on the pass for a while as it was a bit cold. If this had been the low point, we could have easily overlooked it but, unfortunately, this was the high point! Service was haphazard, at best; food was mostly adequate; atmosphere non-existent. The wines, mostly from a range commonly available in local restaurants were particularly noteworthy for their mark-up. The only upside is, having brought friends out for a treat, I have a perfect excuse to take them out again to make up for the...
