This was our first visit and as a group of 6 we had a really good evening and will definitely be going back. It would not be short of scoring 5's all round but for a few small things. Firstly the poppadoms are not good, they appear to have been dry microwaved and taste it. Two options, either brush with oil and microwave or fry/deep fry for better results! They were served with a trio of condiments but no plates, which normally would not have been a problem in France but for the fact that 2 of the accompaniments were watery liquid and impossible to put on totally flat poppadoms đ€Ł One could only be compared to flat coke as the flavour was indeterminate but it was fab to have delicious lime pickle. The big issue however was the onion bhajis. They weren't! It was literally a serving of 6 onion rings! And for 6⏠that was somewhat steep! So either the chef should research what a real onion bhaji is (đ€) or customers should just order a different starter - the others were all totally delicious! Would be really good if the carafes of water could be served cold, the joke of our night was the water being put on the table to cool down!! Sounds like me being really picky but it's the little things that make your experience memorable and the other food was so delicious it's a shame to have an aftertaste of poor poppadoms, onion rings and warm water! On the plus side they ask how spicy you want your food and they get it right, they're not scared of ramping up the chilli which was a real breath of air. Can also highly recommend the Kashmiri rice and the salmon...
Read moreMy family and I happened upon this place as we were walking around and decided to give it a try. We saw that it got good reviews on Google as well so we went in. It was a nice change from all the French food. My husband got the lamb curry and I got the butter chicken. Honestly, I got the dish that I thought an Indian restaurant couldnât mess up but the butter chicken was runny and not creamy and it was very disappointing. I ate it because I didnât want it to go to waste. The dish tasted alright but it didnât taste like butter chicken. My husbandsâs dish was average too. Service was good and the servers were kind but I really wish the...
