A fascinating museum with an eclectic collection ranging from prehistoric art to artefacts relating to daily life in the recent past of the area. All in a building that is itself, incredibly interesting. Definitely worth a short detour off the A20 for an hour or two.

Really good museum about the local area and what it was like living here. As a surprise bonus, they had (one of) Claude Debussy's pianos, in fact the one he rented while at Eastbourne in the UK.

Magnifique musée ! Très long pour tout lire mais super intéressant, nous avons pue découvrir en plus une exposition temporaire sur l'électricité qui étais bien réalisée. Un accueil super chaleureux à l'accueil mais aussi par les gardiens du musée. Des casiers étais à disposition pour mettre nos affaires (sac à dos) se qui nous a libéré pour la visite. Il fesait pas trop froid ni trop chaud dans les pièces du musée donc hyper agréable. Je recommande pour tout le monde même ceux à petit budjet car gratuit pour les demandeur d'emplois !! Mercii !! Petit souvenir à l'accueil 😊

Wie in vielen kommunalen Museen werden auch im Labenche verschiedene - nicht unbedingt zusammengehörende - Sammlungsteile präsentiert. Hier ist es aber sehr gut gelungen. Zunächst ist das Gebäude in einem wirklich hervorragenden Renovierungszustand. Dann gibt es Räume zur Regional- und Religionsgeschichte sowie zu Handwerkstraditionen aus der näheren Umgebung. Der unbestrittene Höhepunkt sind aber die Tapisserien aus (erstaunlicherweise!) englischer Produktion. Ich habe selten mehr als 300 Jahre alte Wandteppiche mit so brillanten Farben gesehen.
