I never write reviews, however after last night's meal I feel I have to. There are many points I want to go through so please bare with me, including the food being of poor quality (do not believe the photos). Firstly, if you have children do not go to this restaurant. Upon arriving at the restaurant (5 adults, 2 children and one 2 year old) the owner immediately said 'I don't want to look after your children, make sure they behave. My business depends on this and if all the children break things my business will not survive!

We had barely sat down and proceeded to discuss whether we should leave based on that alone, however we had seen the 'good' reviews and decided to stay. We then were presented the menu, this comes on a chalk board that is presented and then taken away. There were no copies for us to look at and while we were deciding we asked if we could see them again. This was then brought over, however the 2 year old touched the board, the owner told him off and then told us again to manage our children, charming! We told him that he was being rude and disrespectful and that the child had done nothing wrong and that nothing was damaged. He reluctantly apologised.

We then began to order. The menu was 30 euros for a set meal, the children's came first. We tasted the meat, no seasoning and poor quality meat. Tasted old. Next up the adults food. The tuna was not fresh. It was seared on the outside but grey on the inside not deep red as it should be. Old. Next up a dish with cod in a bisque with mussels. Sounds delicious right? WRONG! The fish was frozen and de-thawed, no flavour and limp in the bisque. The mussels flesh was non existent. The only edible piece of food being the half slice of potato. To add to this, the seasoning was also non existent, very poor. Ok lets move on, as what next shocked me and it wasn't just the dessert..

So, everyone was dissapointed with their dishes, we disucessed telling the owner, but only if he asked. As he didnt ask we ordered the dessert, guess what arrived? A crime caramel, sorry 'creme' caramel out of a packet with cream out of a can - Genius! Myself and my brother took the bill and asked the rest of the gang to join the 2 year old and mum who had been doing laps of the port for the last hour as service had been so slow. The bill was dumped on our table but no-one came to take payment. We eventually got the waitress's attention and she said she was too busy and that we would have to go up to the counter to pay. Wow! I thought, another example of unbelievable courtesy to their client base.

We proceeded to go up and pay. I decided enough was enough and I would let the owner know our thoughts on the food and service. I told him the food was poor and not fresh but we would pay in full. He went ballistic took my card and proceeded to march me to the kitchen to show me his food. I said I didnt want to and just wanted to pay and leave. He refused. I again asked for my card back so I could pay. He refused again so I went with him. He proceeded to show me what looked like fresh Bass and Bream all the meanwhile shouting at me. I explained that was not what I had ordered and that what he had given me was frozen cod re-thawed, tasteless and old. Perhaps he only reserves fresh fish for locals, anyhow I know good food and this place was not the joint. We paid and left. The owner did not offer anything off the bill and at no point asked us how our meal had been during the meal. From beginning to end he was rude, un-accommodating and served up food that looked acceptable, yet was poor. I would advise anyone to avoid this restaurant and try any of the others in the port with a view.

Thanks for listening, my first review after being to 100's of restaurants worldwide. I promise to post more in the future and also commend good restaurants as I don't want to be a hater!

Good luck Le Table du Coin, I hope you can learn from this and up your game. Food is one thing, but manners cost...

We've eaten at this restaurant many times since it opened and enjoyed pleasant service and tasty food. We liked the menu choices this time and ordered filet daurade as our main course. The plates looked very appetising and we tucked in. The fish was raw in the thicker section. Summoning the waitress I showed her the raw fish. Our plates were taken and the fish cooked again and we enjoyed our meal. However, the waitress said later that they served their fish rosé and we should have asked for it to be cooked bien cuit. We didn't get into a discussion about it as were rather surprised. After many years of eating out in France this was a first for us. I expect tuna to be flash fried, but would be very reluctant to ask for fish to be cooked bien cuit, would probably be like leather. We asked a French friend and they thought (as did we) that the fish had been frozen and insufficiently cooked, nor would you ask for it to be cooked bien cuit. It's a shame as we'd be very reluctant to...

❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰😉👌👌👌👌.... Grosses bises à vous toutes et tous.

Prenez soin de vous .

Au plaisir de vous...

Fantastic french cuisine. We had the monkfish with risotto and the steak frites. Both excellent. The menu seems to change daily (it's on a chalkboard), but I expect anything on the menu is worthwhile and fresh. Risotto was some of the best I've eaten. Wait staff was friendly and helpful (and patient with my rusty French). Prices extremely reasonable and the house red quite solid.
