Chez Anaïs pizzeria — Restaurant in Calvi

🇬🇧 Really disappointing takeaway experience. We ordered two pizzas, clearly specifying that we wanted one with mozzarella and one without, because I am lactose intolerant.

I repeated the request at least three times: first in Italian, clearly saying “NO MOZZARELLA”, and then in English: “without mozzarella”. Still, the girl at the counter kept replying only in French, talking over me every time I tried to explain, and made no effort to understand or confirm the order. I also made it clear that I didn’t understand French, but she showed no willingness to adapt or clarify.

The pizzas were delivered at 10:15 PM, as agreed. Unfortunately, once I got home, I discovered that mine had mozzarella as well. At that time of night, there was no way to fix the situation — I couldn’t go back, and nowhere else was open to get something else to eat. In the end, I couldn’t have dinner, even though I had paid for a pizza I couldn’t eat, after explaining everything very clearly.

This experience showed a total lack of customer care, poor listening, and unprofessional behavior, especially considering the importance of dietary needs that were communicated clearly. Definitely not recommended.

Esperienza davvero spiacevole con il servizio da asporto. Abbiamo ordinato due pizze, specificando chiaramente che ne volevamo una con mozzarella e una senza, perché sono intollerante al lattosio.

Ho ripetuto la richiesta almeno tre volte: prima in italiano, dicendo con chiarezza “NO MOZZARELLA”, poi in inglese: “without mozzarella”. Nonostante ciò, la ragazza alla cassa ha continuato a rispondermi solo in francese, parlandomi sopra ogni volta che cercavo di spiegare, senza alcuno sforzo di comprensione o verifica dell’ordine. Le ho anche fatto capire chiaramente che non capivo il francese, ma non ha mostrato alcuna disponibilità a comunicare diversamente. In più, sul loro menù la parola “mozzarella” è scritta in modo chiaro, quindi era davvero impossibile non capire cosa stessi chiedendo.

Le pizze ci sono state consegnate alle 22:15, come da accordi. Solo una volta arrivata a casa ho scoperto che anche la mia conteneva mozzarella. A quell’ora, era ormai impossibile rimediare: non potevo né tornare indietro, né andare a mangiare altrove, perché tutto stava chiudendo. Risultato: non ho potuto cenare, pur avendo pagato una pizza che non potevo mangiare, e dopo aver spiegato tutto con attenzione.

Un episodio che dimostra una mancanza di attenzione verso il cliente, zero ascolto e scarsa professionalità, soprattutto su richieste alimentari importanti e chiaramente espresse. Sconsigliato.

Update following the owner’s reply: The reply given does not reflect what actually happened. I never asked for Emmental instead of mozzarella — I simply requested, very clearly, no mozzarella at all, both in Italian (“NO MOZZARELLA”) and in English (“without mozzarella”).

Moreover, with proper information, it would be clear that Gorgonzola is naturally lactose-free, and therefore perfectly suitable for someone who is lactose intolerant, like myself. My request was simple: a pizza without mozzarella, not a substitution. Unfortunately, the reply to my review confirms the same lack of listening and attention I experienced...

The restaurant has way too good recommendations if you ask me. We waited around 45 min to get 2 normal Pizzas, and a Pizza and chicken nuggets from the kid's menu. I saw a lot of people getting Take-Away Pizza. I think that's why it took so long. The Pizza itself was tasteless. On my Pizza the chef even forgot the ham. They brought me ham on an extra plate after I asked the waitress. There were two waitresses. The older waitress, who mainly served us, was very friendly and accommodating, but the younger one was too cold for our taste... Prices are too high for that quality. We wouldn't go there again, although we really liked...

Quand la pluie laisse place au soleil de Balagne, c'est déambulation sur le bord de mer et promenade dans les rues piétonnes d'île Rousse. Quoi de mieux que les avis Google pour opter pour un bon déjeuner ? Ce sera "chez Anaïs Pizzeria" ! La communauté Google ne s'est pas trompée...et pour commencer cet établissement est facile à trouver. Une fois arrivés sur place, l'accueil est familial et des plus chaleureux...le vrai, le pur, le dur 😉 La saison ne fait que commencer, seules une ou deux tables sont installées dehors pour le moment. Qu'à cela ne tienne, nous nous installons à l'intérieur et tel un troupeau de sept personnes, nous chamboulons toute la disposition du restaurant. Découverte de la carte et menus qui proposent des tarifs non excessifs, puis commandes faites... nous découvrons nos pizzas et burgers... l'idée du moitié-moitié est bien trouvée et comme diraient certains...ou plutôt certaine, un véritable orgasme gastronomique ! Rien ne sert de parler, le mieux c'est d'y venir car cette adresse est incontournable si vous voulez passer un agréable moment. Les pinzuti qui nous accompagnent sont émerveillés par la Corse, et par l'accueil des restaurateurs comme Anaïs et son mari. Petit clin d'oeil à Anaïs... même les toilettes sont propres 😉 Foncez manger chez...
