We had the standard menu.
Although the ingredients were good, delivery was catastrophic.
The service was rushed, with the sole focus being on turning tables and maximising profit.
Within two or three minutes of ordering the entrées arrived. Unfortunately one of them was not the one we ordered. When the correct one arrived, barely a minute later, it was only just slightly warmed through.
The bread had clearly been cut at lunchtime, and so had dried out by the time of evening service.
Two minutes after clearing the entrées, the plats arrived.
The pizza was excellent. The sanglier croustillant was stone cold. When I sent it back, rather than replace it, they simply put the plate in the oven for a while. Result: red hot plate, luke warm food.
Finally the lemon dessert arrived. Basically it was a pile of whipped cheese with broken biscuits. Maybe the cream cheese had been whipped near a lemon, but the flavour certainly hadn't made into it the final dish. Both of us found it inedible.
We raised the concerns immediately at each course. But it made little impact.
At the end, they discounted the bill by 10% and made it absolutely clear that this was done under duress.
This is the first bad meal we've had during our time in Corsica.
Given the wealth of excellent alternatives, you'd be a fool...
Read moreTerribly disappointing experience. We dined there as a group on on organised trip. The staff got our drinks orders wrong, and later accused us of underpaying despite having being told from the start that the guests wanted to pay for their drinks individually. They demanded that the group leader take the food orders for the whole group, the music was too loud to comfortably have a conversation, and the food and drink took ages to arrive. When it finally arrived, the food was ok, but nothing special. The staff alternated between ignoring us, or making fun of our attempts to speak French, and of our British politeness saying please and thank you whenever they did grace us with their attention. Altogether not...
