Restaurant Bar du Golfe — Restaurant in Calvi

First night in Calvi after 9h of sun and beach..we decided to go to eat to the bar de golfe not because was the best but because we were most hungry.. we went for the menu course with antipasto.. main course and dessert … The 2 soups were just horrible, bad presented and taste was way disgusting of fish waste…with 3 piece of dry old bread… The main course was even worse… we choose mussels that was all covered in fennel… cleary indicating that the seafood was not fresh or just not good quality needing to be covered woth fennel… and a calamari extremely full of bread with some rice at the botton… with chips????? Finishing with a meringue that was way way to raw… and not well cooked… General feedback not good at...

We love this restaurant and all the people who work there! :-) The atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed and personal. Even though we only visit Calvi once a year, we are always recognised and given an incredibly friendly welcome. The atmosphere alone is reason enough for us to come back several times (whether for lunch or dinner). The menu also offers a large selection of different dishes and there is always something for everyone :-) The prices are also very fair and not overpriced. If you're not expecting Michelin-starred cuisine, but are looking for a cosy and intimate environment and incredibly friendly and warm staff, the Bar du Golfe is absolutely the right place for you! :-) See you...

What looks like a great menu is a dissaster. Fishsoup served with currymayo and two pieces of bread wich cant be eaten. (Soup was ok). St Pierre filet half done with cold Rice and covered with currybechamel also cold. The Cheers for dessert was excellent. The staf was Friendly except for one girl that askes If everything is ok and as I respond that it’s a strange meal, she’s starts speaking french about me with the table next to me.( I speak french 🤔) realy rude and uneducated. Other personel was Friendly. Feels stranges that they don’t care about...
