Dinner was at La Cantine du Curé, a tiny seasonal spot right in the heart of Caunes-Minervois. This tiny, unassuming little shack might not look like much at first glance, but wow, were we trily impressed. • Cozy and warm, it draws both locals and tourists in, and it just has that kind of laid-back magic that makes you want to stay awhile. • The tapas were incredible and the portions were generous! Made with fresh seasonal ingredients, prepared simply and humbly, but each dish bursting with flavor. It was one of those meals where everything just hits right. And for such a reasonable price, we were truly surprised by the quality. • Big kudos to the team, front and back of house (if there even is a back in a place this size!). You have got something really special. • We capped it off with another glass of Armagnac, living his best Southwest France life. We loved...

We booked a low (normal) table for dinner but were given one of the tall tables with stools and when we asked to be moved were told off-hand that all the low tables were booked. Not happy. We ordered hot tapas dishes - the squid described as cubes done on a plancha (grill) was cold when it arrived, the squid didn't look or smell or taste like it was from a plancha, and it was rubbery - it was inedible. The beef dish was also stingy and chewy and only very slightly warm, nearly inedible. The chicken nuggets were dry and not good. The food service was very slow, and from the cold state our food arrived in I'd guess it was waiting quite a while to be served. My recommendation - don't go there for the food, or at least not the tapas, because it's no...

We came here during the month of may! We were chasing the sunset and visit the villages around and found this beautiful place which was open to serve food and drinks. Let me tell you we were extremely lucky to have found this place! The food was really very good, and for the price and the quantity it was extremely cheap. The homemade dip sauce was to die for. And we also had some wine and my goodness was is it good. I’m a very picky with the food and drink I drink but this place with a low key vibe blew my mind. The staffs were wonderful, the whole vibe was so chill and welcoming. We will definitely be coming back here someday when we’re back in the region. Everyone should once visit them when around the region. Also they open they bar...
