The room was clean and comfortable with a tiny bathroom squeezed in a cupboard, and with a terrace overlooking the garden. The bathroom needs a shelf to put your spongebag on while you’re washing. It is very cramped and anyone tall would have difficulty. See picture. There was no handle to close it from the inside. |The hotel is a short walk from the town centre and has nearby secure parking. It has aircon and good WiFi. |It has changed hands since the last reviews and is somewhat neglected and tired in appearance. The new owners were very pleasant and helpful.|Our balcony had suffered from high winds bringing red dust but it had not been cleaned up and was a mess of dried footprints |and not a relaxing place to sit. The following day our room was serviced but the terrace remained dirty and unappealing.|Some places, like our terrace and the door to,our room, could do with a coat of paint. |The restaurant was closed, information on the web site was confusing, saying it was open only lunchtimes. We had brought smart clothes expecting fine dining. The menu outside was nothing special. |For a boutique hotel the décor was nothing special, it was pleasant but lacked flair. |The bed was large and comfortable but the pillows were very solid and we removed the bolster (bolster!)|Breakfast was ok. Usual cheese meat bread and fruit. Unfortunately the peaches and apricots were rock hard and the bread had been heated in the oven and was very hard and the croissants on the point of burning. We were asked what time we |wanted breakfast, but still had to wait 10 minutes for it to be brought. The second day the croissants appeared to be rationed.|We booked 6 months in advance and could not have known this place is host to events. There was a dinner for a large party followed by music and dancing til midnight in the garden.|It has great potential but details need...
