L'Escapade — Restaurant in Carpentras

The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable, much bigger than expected for what we paid and ours opened out on to a small private terrace with deckchairs. We came to cycle Mont Ventoux and the location for this is great, the hotel has bike storage and there are a couple of bike shops in the village if you need to buy anything. All the staff that we spoke to were very friendly and helpful, the hotel has a nice welcoming feel. We only ate here on one night but the food was excellent and even though the staff were very busy they looked after us well. The only drawback was the breakfast - croissant and bread with tea or coffee for 8€ - not much to set you up for a big bike ride, but there are shops and boulangeries down the road if you want...

Stayed here for 2 nights to enable a cycle upto Mont Ventoux. No problem with storing my bike in my room. Note that this is very much a restaurant with rooms. When the restaurant is closed there is nobody around. The check in experience is dreadful. I arrived on a Thursday to find the hotel closed. There is no note on the door to explain what to do. Eventually, I managed to find a phone number and call them. I was then given a code to get in and a room number. If only they could have emailed me on my day of arrival.
