Le Florentin — Restaurant in Castelsarrasin

We arrived early (7.30) when the terrace was quiet. Our order was taken and we waited. Our drinks arrived, followed by our starters. Sadly that's where it all went wrong. Over an hour went by with and no main course was delivered. We asked many times and eventually they bought our food, admitting that they had lost our order. Meanwhile, all the tables around us, who arrived later, had been served. We were not very happy and therefore we did not register whether the food was good. It was OK, I think. We did not eat dessert or have coffee because we did not wish to wait. I live locally and this was my first visit to this restaurant. I am not sure if I will go back or I would recommend it to the guests of the holiday gites that I own here. Perhaps it might be better...

Our group of 5 was waiting by the entrance to be greeted by a staff member. All 5 waiting staff walked passed us, looked at us but purposely ignored us. After a few minutes we sat at a table on the terrace. Still no contact with the staff. Another few minutes later still no service, we waved at a waitress who saw us but did not move. She served a couple of tables next to us, but systematically ignored us. Was it the end of service? Were children not allowed? If someone would have spoken to us to explain the reason behind their refusal to serve us, we would have understood. I know French catering (I am French) has a bad reputation for being rude to customers, but their action (or lack of) was insulting. I come to Moissac on a yearly basis. I will now avoid...

Il est 12h en ce dimanche matin où nous avons voulu clôturer notre balade par un apero dans ce lieu. Nous saluons le serveur et nous lui demandons si nous pouvons nous installer à une table qui n'est pas encore débarrassée. C'est à peine s'il nous dit bonjour, par contre il s'empresse de nous dire qu'à cette heure là il ne sert plus de boissons chaudes "sinon on ne s'en sort plus". C'est repas, apero ou rien! Bon ok, 1ère fois qu'on a ce genre de réflexion avant même d'être installer! Nous sommes 4, il n'y a que 3 chaises. Le serveur s'en fiche. Mon conjoint est resté debout en attendant de trouver lui-même une chaise... une table se libère et on voit le serveur qui accourt pour récupérer la table et les 2 chaises libres pour des clients... pas autant d'energie deployée pour mon conjoint, mais les autres personnes souhaitant déjeuner le service n'est semble-t-il pas le même...les minutes passent, toujours pas de commande prise. Et là nous voyons une serveuse passer avec des cafés et du thé chaud!!! Semble-t-il que dans ce bar-restaurant le service soit différent selon les serveurs, selon les clients aussi. Nous n'avons pas attendu plus longtemps, nous sommes partis nous...
