Beautiful restaurant although very disappointing service and potential food poisoning! We made a booking for Saturday evening for our anniversary, however when we arrived, they have no record of the booking so without an apology, they found us a table tucked away at the very back of the restaurant. These tables are with sofa chairs which we didn't feel were appropriate for an evening meal at a nice restaurant, so we asked whether it would be possible to move to one of the tables in the centre of the restaurant, however they were fully booked (Although we had made a booking over a week in advance). The server eventually moved some tables around and managed to find us a table in the main restaurant area, which we appreciated, but after being seated and being in the restaurant for about 45 minutes now, we had still not be offered a drink so we had to chase a server for this too. The service for the rest of the evening was average, not very attentive and emotionless. The food was good, particularly the creme brulee, although we have had better food in Chartres for notably cheaper. Lastly, my girlfriend started to experience food poisoning symptoms (e.g., vomiting and diarrhoea) during the following day. Although this may not have been from the food at La Cour Brasserie, as our diets had been very 'normal' during the previous few days, so we suspect this is from this restaurant. We were both really hoping to enjoy our evening at La Cour Brasserie, particularly as it was our anniversary, however we were left very disappointed with the...
Read moreDisappointed. I went there with my parents based on good previous experiences (pre-covid). While the food was nice, the service was not. Our main waitress was not checking on us (but had the time to have fun with one of her colleague, taking pictures within the restaurant) and borderline rude. While finally taking our order, my dad changed his mind (he was ordering his main and thought the starter he ordered 1min ago, during that same order, would be a weird mixe), the waitress refused saying we couldn't change our order as she send it to the kitchen already (from her tablet) so to stick with it. It never happened to me before. She also complained to us about one of her colleague with less experience (whom we had a good experience with, friendly and checking on us occasionally), which again was a first to me. Another of the waiter (who was taking pictures with the first one), brushed me off when I asked him for bread -which never arrived-. The prices are affordable, but make you expect a certain experience which was not there that day. This was a bad surprise as our past experiences were nice. I am unsure if I would try again sadly. ... answering Mr André: Je vous remercie de votre réponse. C'était une réservation pour 3 le vendredi 4 aout à 13h. I don't doubt it was an exception, but sadly it impacted our experience that day. I sincerely hope it can help for future reference as, as I mentionned before, we had good experience à La...
Read moreSmiling friendly and helpful staff were short in numbers leaving guests to wait and flag down servers. Not their fault. Understaffed and under managed with supervision not apparent. But the food was sublime with perfectly executed penne pasta with proportions of pine nuts and pesto with fresh Parmesan. The oysters were amazing as was the Niçoise salad. A well chosen local red was fresh pure and perfectly balanced. Oh and the baguette was near perfect. You will need extra time with the lack of management on site but it will...
