Ortam Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

My family and I stayed at the local BnB Hotel and this was the only restaurant within walking distance. I'd like to start with the fact that despite most of their customers being Dutch, German, British and tradesman, the restaurant serves no alcoholic beverages which is highly unusual for a Turkish restaurant.

The atmosphere within the restaurant is nice and it is decorated well; considering it is placed within the heart of a dreary industrial estate.

The service however was sleepy and poor. The waitress was ditzy and I suspect deliberately neglectful as she ignored our request for ice and also served drinks without removing the lids.

The meat was cooked well, came quickly and was filling. As you can see from the owners photos the food is visually appertising, yet is very average. All dishes were incredibly dry. The salad was minimal and the chips were bland as if they had been reheated in an oven.

I had the pleasure of dining at your restaurant for the first time and I must say, the experience was absolutely delightful. The food was exceptional, each dish showcasing a perfect blend of flavors and culinary expertise. Very good food, atmosphere and service. The waiters are very careful and helpful. The restaurant is a bit far, so best to get there by car but at least no issues with the parking and totally worth it. The design of the restaurant is pretty interesting.
