I am usually a bit to lazy to write a review, but this time I had to. This little gem in the middle of Compiègne is marvelous. Me and my Husband really enjoyed our stay from the beginning to the very last second. My first visit here was in 2018 and then I was already mesmerized, I didn't think they could get better. Seems I was wrong. The atmosphere and service is top notch and very individualized. They have such a great eye and will match your pace. No rush and no waiting. Good conversation and a good feeling of a homey, yet somewhat fancy, fun and appreciation. It's rare to feel at home and at the same time have such a fine dinning experience. The change in the menu is lovely, it shows how original, seasonal and regional their work is. It allowes the chef to love his new creations and let's you taste that same love in the dish. The wine/drink pairing is delicious and shows how carefully everything is chosen and served.
Love the two brothers, the restaurant and the feeling it gives. We will soon plan another trip there, just to be able to eat there again.

Read moreThis is a superb restaurant. I visited with two friends cycling from London to Paris. The welcome was personal and warm. The food is sophisticated and seasonal - very well executed. There is a genuine emphasis on seasonal and local ingredients in May it was asparagus and rhubarb. There was a choice of two main courses veal and monkfish both were excellent. The restaurant is run by two brothers one a chef, the other front of house/sommelier. The short wine list is short but very well chosen and the host very knowledgeable. We had a ‘cult’ wine Domaine de La Bongran that is hard to find anywhere- the 60 euro charged was very fair for a superb white burgundy with good bottle age (2012). Please leave some for...
Read moreOld and chic on the outside, new and stylish inside - a good combination. I liked the service, although my French is just not good enough to understand everything in detail.
The food was excellent, my highlight being the paned Hokkaido pumpkin in Safran sauce. It was simply delicious. The fresh fish was also not to be underestimated. Good cheese selection to round it up.
Compared to what they are offering the prices are very, very affordable. I will return...
