Delightful restaurant serving the simple but delicious traditional French food that I remember from childhood holidays in Normandy - Filet de bœuf sauce poivron, sole meunier, lyonnaise potatoes, sweet soufflés flavoured with Calvados and Normandy cheeses. There’s a well priced menu of the day and a wider range on the à la carte menu. Another nice touch - a wine of the month. We had a bottle of red from Luberon which went perfectly with the meal and which we probably wouldn’t have picked otherwise. Tables are cosily packed, which did not seem cramped and simply added to the friendly ambience. Our neighbours talked to us and I noticed other people being friendly with those sitting next to them. Very expensive for Michelin guide restaurant. We've been in other restaurants in guide and even not in guide and you get much better money for it. 33 euros for a basic steak you can get in a pub? 10 or 12 for some fish croquettes and a salad that were nothing special. Some other dishes looked more elaborated but again, nothing that justified that price. In touristic cities south of france we have had half price and twice better. Compact little bistro in Dieppe in which we had a lovely meal and a delightfully french expereience. Need to book due to size and popularity but we did this simply on Facebook. Good menu options and real quality food. The waitress is in charge and adds to the occassion. With our combination of language she communicated with patience, great service and humour.
