As other reviews would suggest, we certainly weren’t unique in seeking out this restaurant having watched Rick Stein’s Secret France programme. However, we didn’t book so we took our chances for a walk in, and managed to secure the last table available of the evening. The staff were friendly and very accommodating (of us and our dog), happy to advise/recommend dishes accordingly. We ordered a selection of oysters and a coquille st jacques gratin to start, all super tasty - I’ve never seen so many scallops presented in a dish in one go. Then we had the turbot (of course) which was so rich and succulent I don’t think I ever want to eat it anywhere else again. All of this was washed down with a bottle of auxey-duresses wine. Read moreI have been here for the first time in november 2017. The dishes were good, service was good. It was excellent! This time march 2019, we passed Dieppe we thought let us go have dinner there because of our previous experience. This time we were so much disappointed. The service was HORRIBLE. It was the same lady as the first time who serviced us but don't know what happened to her in the meantime. The prices were doubled. The windows were all damped because of lack of air and bad air extraction. My husband became nauseous because he lacked oxygen. When I sad this to her, she sad she didnt understand English. Just before I heard her talking English to a Dutch couple. When I translated this to her in French, she said: Qu-est ce que vous voulez madame.... Bon soir and she turned her back at us....
