Serves vegan galettes but unfortunately racist.
We are a group of 4 Chinese tourists, one with dairy and egg intolerance and we're excited to find a place to try some galettes. There were many empty seats, both indoor and outdoors, but the server refused to seat us, saying that the garden is closed because it's drizzling. We said we didn't mind, and she came up with another excuse saying that it's too busy and we have to come back in half an hour, still refusing to seat us. After we left, TWO couples went in and were both promptly seated in the "closed" gardens.
I went in again for the two couples were seated to ask if the one person with food intolerances could dine in, and was again chased away by the server citing having to wait 1/2 hour and it's impossible to let even just one of us dine in.
Maybe you'll get to enjoy this establishment if you're not asian. We didn't get to eat here so this review should be 0 stars.
Edited in response to owner:
1• We didn't tell you about the problem because you were clearly not interested in serving us.
2• You clearly said that we can't sit outside because of the rain, and we said we did not mind, but you still shook your head.
You did not say we were welcome to sit and wait-- you outright refused to seat us, and said to come back again 1/2h later. What do you expect us to think of this sort of treatment when we see that you seat 2 other couples who came in right after us in the garden that you didn't let us sit in?
3• We never expected to be served after others. We were happy to wait IN THE CAFE, but you said to COME BACK LATER. In comparison-- we went to another creperie and they explained to us before seating us very promptly that they were busy, but if we are willing to wait, we are most welcome to sit, and promptly ushered us to a table. THAT is how you should explain to and treat your customers.
4• We HATE unfair and mean people too, so we were surprised and disappointed to receive it from this establishment and want to share our honest experiences. Hopefully everyone else who come will be luckier than us and never meet...
Read moreLow key, casually hip, great food and energy! Best crepes (Crèpe Super (savory) and Miel (local honey) for me I’ve had in the 6 weeks I’ve been traveling in crepe country!! Old musical instruments hanging from the ceiling and walls, a bicycle poster and records hanging in the nice bathroom; a beautiful little garden patio just off of one of the more quaint, cobbled streets one can find; nice, mindful owners who care about quality ingredients as well the final dish; organic/bio, locally sourced ingredients where possible - you get...
Read moreAwful experience. Sorry to even spending the time on answering but just keep things right, I came with three small children and while there was a free table for us to sit at, the crook in the kitchen was waiving to the waitress not to sit us down to the table. So if anyone is happy is me that I didn’t even wasted the time at your place. It doesn’t really matter how bad or good the food is rather how you treat people that come to your place. You should be ashamed rather than trying to mislead your...
