Les Terrasses — Restaurant in Dinan

Arrived at Dinan July 13 late afternoon and found this restaurant beside the river so we think of eating our dinner, we arrive and people are falling in line and we are in the third group of customers waiting.. First family have 8 of them and the next customer are 3 and then us.. And some more behind us then after few minutes waiting, a group of four people looks like a family goes infront and called the lady who seems to be the receptionist cum waitress. And then she jump on excitement as she greeted them and then she ask how many are they , they said 6 but they are only four at that time the two must be on their way and then she happily prepare the table before she let them sit.. Whattt the.. 😔 So after all the waiting? .. Anyway we can't backout now because it will be too late to change our mind, anyway the group of three before us already left because the receptionists said there is no table for three hahaha lol so why she did not inform them earlier so they don't wait that much she should have said that they don't accept 3 people in a group, lucky we are only two haha so we have our chance the receptionist let us sit there is available table but yeah she didn't even set our table yet unlike what she did to those people that she knows.. So I ordered moule frite curry and tea and husband order steak/fries and coke... Hows the food? Well its ok for a hungry person like me, the souce of the moules is cold and salty for my taste but yeah fries is hot which for me looks like just preheat it drop in the oil again, husband order is cold too I don't know if its normal for a steak to ve cold but his fries is cold as well and worst we had the dinner and my tea and his coke didn't arrive and yes my husband complain upon paying the bill and they didn't even bother to apologise hahaha this restaurant is sucks and stuff are not customer oriented. If not with the place this restaurant will be a zero star rate for me. Yeah give one star 🌟 for atleast giving as a seat. So if you do not want to ruin your holiday or dinner/lunch avoid this restaurants with grumpy people...

It’s too bad that the service is non existant. Only half, 2 out of 4 of us, got our main courses. We ended up eating ours so it wouldn’t be so cold and waiting still for the others to arrive while we drank water. No server came for nearly another hour and only after we asked where the other meals were. Our server had left mid service and the orders were never input for the other two people. First they said they would comp our drinks (two glasses of wine and water) and then comp the other two main dishes. The food was mediocre and when the bill came it was for the drinks and two meals. So much for comping the drinks too! Wasn’t worth the wait to complain about that because the bill didn’t come for another half hour after we kept asking for it! Just awful. Spent way, way too long there waiting and waiting. Don’t recommend. Plenty of other restaurants on the same strip by the port or go into the old part of the city. Any other option would have...

This was a lovely looking place to eat, right alongside the Rance with views of the beautiful Port of Dinan. Unfortunately we found the staff to be particularly rude and the food to be at best basic, and for some plates absolutely terrible. The pork was the worst meal I've seen served in a long time. The meat was incredibly dry and hidden under a dollop of mustard sauce (which though in itself was poor, at least it provided some moisture), alongside what I can only describe as cheap oven chips. Also had salmon and steak hache for the kids. If I was to sum up the meals served for our entire table then I would describe them as being a bit like school dinners from the 90s.
