Terrible! Do NOT recommend! Do yourself a favour and don't eat here. I ordered magret de canard. When our meals finally came I was unable to cut my meat at all. Despite sawing away it was rubbery and inedible. Ok, so that can happen, it's a natural product afterall. I explained I could not cut the piece of meat as this piece of meat was substandard and politely asked for a fresh piece of meat to be prepared. I was very clear that I wanted a new piece of meat and it was this and not the way it was cooked that was the issue. My husband continued eating his food (he was pleased with his meal). Eventually I was given the SAME piece of meat, but just cooked more and burnt! I could tell it was the same piece because you could see where I'd attempted to cut it previously! I eventually caught the servers attention and said that I had been given the same piece of meat which was inedible and that it was this piece of meat that was the issue and I asked clearly again for a fresh duck breast; to be told it was a fresh piece - it wasn't - and I pointed out my cut marks... By this time husband had nearly finished eating and when eventually the new dish placed before me my initial reaction was that they were taking the p*@s out of me for asking it to be 'well done' and sending back my first meal because the chef had cut the breast into slices and massively overcooked/chared each piece on both sides! I felt insulted. No chef cooks ducks breast like this. The duck breast was a decent looking piece but the chef had destroyed it! I was so embarrassed at this point as I was getting looks from other diners trying again to cut the burnt meat for a third time. I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. I felt this was done on purpose to embarrass me - it worked. When we paid I refused to pay for my un eaten food and the server at first tried to say the message hasn't gotten to the chef about wanting a new piece of meat, then that the second piece was just well done as requested, and then they insisted it was my own fault for asking it to be 'well done' and then they said it's not their fault that I didn't like my choice of meal! This is one of my favourite meals in France and I always ask 'bien cuit' and have never in two decades ever had an issue before. I must have had magret de canard at least three or four times this year alone. I am fortunate that I am able to eat out a lot (see my many local restaurant reviews, nearly all of which are 5⭐) but I have never rated a restaurant one star before or been accused of not ordering properly or just not liking what I ordered! It was firstly the substandard meat, then a chef insulting me by not cooking a replacement normally. The worst thing though was that this was our 33rd wedding anniversary and was supposed to be a lovely day in Hossegor (it's a distance from where we are staying) and because I was made to feel embarrassed and insulted and we didn't even eat at the same time etc it completely ruined what should have been a special day/meal for us. Normally it's just a bad food experience, but this was supposed to be a special day and it was ruined. I should in hindsight have refused to pay anything. Even under normal circumstances I would not eat here again anyway as the service was disorganised and slow, the food is transported over the road and gets cold by the time they work out whose food is whose (the couple next to us got the wrong meal and couldn't get the servers attention so ended up starting eating, before half way through the server realised their mistake and took a half eaten meal away to replace with the correct order!). The loos were filthy too. Do not recommend! I wish I'd read the other reviews before...

Aujourd'hui, ce samedi 12 août nous décidons avec une amie de venir manger chez vous car nous connaissons très bien et avons toujours été satisfaite. Où nous connaissions très bien ! Au bout de 15 min d'attente nous avons été installé entre autre c'est là bas le serveur nous dit vous choisissez où vous voulez à un couple et nous ! Bref Nous avons la carte, au bout de 20 min ou plus un serveur vient prendre notre commande. Toujours pas d'eau...il fait chaud ! On ne dit rien ...Je lui demande le poisson du jour, il me répond exceptionnellement aujourd'hui il n'y en a pas ! Du coup, il me dit si vous n'avez pas fait votre choix je repasserai très sèchement speed expéditif ! Je lui réponds non mais je vais prendre la salade au thon ! Il prend la commande du couple à côté et revient nous voir pour s'excuser qu'il est dans le rush et que ce midi ils ont eu un sacré service ! Nous y sommes pour rien ! On vient juste passer un bon moment nous ! Le serveur trime c'est vrai pendant que nous supposons un des responsables lui donner des ordres va là bas fait ci fait ça ! Au lieu d'avoir un esprit d'équipe ! Vraiment hallucinant. Le point positif en 5 min les plats étaient prêt puisque nous étions en fin de service ! Les 2 salades ne correspondaient pas du tout au descriptif. Des aliments en plus qu'ils n'y avaient pas de noter nous avons fait un choix il faut penser au personne allergique ou qui n'aiment pas tout simplement. De la sauce a ne pas en finir franchement pas bon du tout écoeurant. Tomates betterave vraiment pas bonnes niveau goût ! Mon amie le signale pour sa salade. Le serveur récupère la salade le responsable lui dit de nous remettre la salade sur la table et en gros clairement de se débrouiller à enlever les choses en plus ! Là c'était la goutte de trop ! Je suis allée voir les serveurs pour leur demander de reprendre ma salade car vraiment elle ne correspondait pas et vraiment inmangeable toute cette sauce de fond de plat et les betteraves très mauvaise s. Le serveur a tout pris pour lui pourtant nous sommes restés très correctes juste il faut savoir écouter les clients même si c'est le rush ( c'était la fin du service)parce que je pense sincèrement que nous étions juste. Un client satisfait c'est une bonne publicité ! Vous savez le comportement que le serveur a eu envers nous ils nous a clairement dégagé du restaurant. Il est revenu en nous disant que nous allions pas payer nos salades ( nous n'avons pas demandé ça )et qu'il fallait promptement que nous quittions le restaurant et il est revenu une 2eme fois il faut libérer la table au plus vite devant tous les clients mais quel honte ! Nous n'avions pas le choix au lieu de refaire le plat je n'ai jamais vu ça en étant du métier une belle première. C'est dommage nous aimons bien venir manger ici .... Je vous remercie d'avoir pris le temps de me répondre et de montrer à vos clients votre façon de nous traiter. Vous êtes dénigrant sans bien même nous connaître. J'ai toujours apprécié votre restaurant mais vous avez dépassé les limites en nous mettant la honte devant tout le monde alors que nous vous avons dit les choses en toute discrétion. Les erreurs existent ! Vous êtes désobligeant. Oui les clients à côté étaient eux aussi mécontent ça c'est la vérité sauf que tout le monde n'ose pas dire les choses. Si vous vous seriez vraiment remis en question vous n'auriez pas réagit de la sorte croyez moi je n'ai jamais vu ça ! J'en suis encore choquée. Nous avons vécu une humiliation qui n'était pas justifiée et encore plus de votre réponse. Je n'ai jamais demandé à avoir mon repas offert vous nous l'avez imposé en nous demandant de partir. Croyez moi en 30 minutes d'attente nous avons bien eu le temps de détailler la carte les plats et de faire notre choix. Et ne me donner surtout pas de leçon svp vous avez tout à apprendre. Se vexer, et insulter les gens sans les connaître montre votre limite....

Came here to break up with my girlfriend because I knew the service would be even worse than the news I was about to deliver, and I thought the average looking menu would be an appropriate indication of the direction of travel for the evening so she wasn’t caught off guard. True to form, the abysmally incompetent staff overdelivered with what can only be described as the worst restaurant service in Hossegor. Two stars because the location was the only redeeming factor. And just to reiterate, the staff were terrible. Really...
