Although small portions, the food was good, unfortunately I was not able to work on my laptop in the restaurant. They came and told me that laptops were not allowed.

While I appreciate your acknowledgment of the food quality, I must respectfully address several concerning points:
First, regarding the laptop policy: As I mentioned in my review, no such policy was communicated to customers anywhere in your establishment - neither posted nor mentioned upon arrival. Under French consumer law (Code de la consommation), businesses have an obligation to clearly communicate their policies to customers. Applying unannounced rules retroactively raises questions about fair treatment of customers.
More importantly, refusing service to my girlfriend today - who had no involvement in our previous interaction - appears to constitute discrimination based on association. This practice potentially violates the principle of "égalité de traitement" under French commercial law, which requires businesses to treat customers fairly and without arbitrary discrimination.
Constructive reviews, even critical ones, are protected under freedom of expression and serve to help businesses improve. Your suggestion that customers should automatically know unposted restaurant policies as "101 of social behavior" reflects an unprofessional approach to customer feedback.
I believe there has been a misunderstanding about both the laptop situation and appropriate business practices. I would appreciate the opportunity to resolve this matter amicably. However, if this retaliatory behavior continues, I may need to contact the DGCCRF (Direction générale de la concurrence, de la consommation et de la répression des fraudes) regarding these consumer protection concerns.
