Café Le Clem's Restaurant — Restaurant in Draguignan

We are locals and have been dining at Clems for well over 20 years. The meal we just had here was so bad it’s really very sad. The veal was tough and inedible, the entrecôte steak that was ordered arrived as a raw steak hache and my chicken and mushroom sauce was tiny and the sauce tasteless. The portions have shrunk to less than half the size of the past as they have new black plates which are much smaller and the prices have sky rocketed. A plat du jour for €22 is just ridiculous! It’s a PMU bar, a village cafe nothing more. It used to be cheap, cheerful and fantastic fun now they think they are a fancy up market restaurant however their food just isn’t good enough to fit that description sadly. Plus John the owner is rude and unfriendly to put it mildly. The rest of the staff and his brother are all very nice. Luckily there are lots of other restaurants in the village to chose from now that have a much better standard of food and are correctly priced. I came back for dinner another couple of tones during the summer as l was invited. The first time we were followed home by John who accused us of leaving without paying the bill. My friends daughters were still in the restaurant eating their dinner. My friend was just being a gentleman and offered to walk me home so was absent for 5 minutes from the table. The next dinner the hamburger was over cooked the lettuce and salad also cooked and the hamburger bun wet and soggy. The next a brochette of veal was raw and l mean raw as in Bleu so l had to send it back. We tried to have lunch there today and were ignored by all 3 waiting staff so we left after 15 minutes...

We are regular satisfied client all year, but to day was a great disappointment due to the waiter Johnathan. This gentleman is a rough and unpleasant individual and totally unsuited for the job. My wife as normal went in to the bar area to be assigned a table, but was ignored by mr Johnathan. My wife then entered the restaurant and saw a table for two and sat down. After a few minutes another but very pleasant new girl waiter took our order drinks and food. The drinks a beer and water arrived ok, but then it started no food. All the table around us with people arriving after us were served. After 45 minutes it was clear that we were not getting our food, we asked the girl to see the manager, but Johnathan came to our table and started abusing and yelling at us in front of everyone. We asked for the owner, and Johnathan then said I am the owner. We than stood up and went to the bar and met the one we believe is in charge and always very pleasant with us and asked to cancell the food and pay for the drinks, which was done without...

Should’ve known right away not to order from here. We sat down and weren’t served at all even though a waiter acknowledged us. We sat closer to the front to get a waiters attention. We saw folks eating food so we asked for the food menu and were told the kitchen was closed. We ordered drinks instead when we should have just left. Another couple sat down and the waiter provided them with bread. We weren’t even offered any bread. When we asked for the check, he asked for cash, which we didn’t have.
