I honestly have troubles understanding why this restaurant has such good reviews. Perhaps I came on the day the head chef had the day off? The food and service were not compatible with a 4,8 star rating (at the time of this review). This is probably the first time ever that I write a bad review, but it can't be otherwise.
Food: let's start by the type of cuisine: it is not Vietnamese, it is Chinese. Sure, there are a few Vietnamese classics, but it is mostly Chinese dishes. Taste wise it was OK, but certainly nothing special for the price. It relies heavily in sauces to bring some life to otherwise bland dishes. Best we had was the Cantonese rice and the crispy chicken.
Atmosphere: The whole evening there's a lot of people coming in and out just to pick up their orders. Atmosphere killer.
Service: you cannot run a restaurant where you have take-away orders interfering with your table orders. Furthermore, it's unacceptable that you seat guests and forget about them for a whole 20 minutes while you are talking on the phone or handling take-away orders on the counter. After a long wait, when you finally bring something to the table, which happens to be a side dish, we would expect the main to come in the next couple of minutes. But no, you will still go and take orders on other tables, get take-away orders out the door, and then when we finally manage to get your attention and ask about the dishes, you think this is completely normal. Finally, when checking out, if you ask what we thought about the food and we give an honest answer, don't start joking about it and say "no, no, not okay, good", otherwise don't bother asking.
Price: €66 for two persons in a "take-away restaurant". Why not include the side dishes in the main dish price? For take away it may be fine, but for a restaurant it makes no sense we must order separately.
Summary: Food: 3/5 Atmosphere: 2/5 Service: 1/5 Price: 3/5
Wrapping up, my advice: Either reduce the number of tables at the restaurant, either stop with the take-away. You...
