MUGS — Restaurant in Draguignan

Visite effectuée durant l’happy hour, entre 18h et 19h15. J’ai commandé un mojito fraise, qui était à -50% (prix initial 13€). Le mojito était imbuvable, complètement raté et éloigné du goût que l’on est en droit d’attendre. J’ai pas l’habitude de faire retourner des plats ou des verres, mais là j’ai signalé à un serveur la problématique avec mon verre. Il m’a demandé si c’était la fraise, comme elle est en pulpe cela pouvait venir de la. Je lui ai fait comprendre que pour moi le verre était raté entièrement. Il n’y avait pas de sucre de canne, la menthe en quantité beaucoup trop abondante, aucune saveur, à part l’intensité du rhum couplée au goût de la menthe. L’aspect légèrement pétillant ou gazeux inexistant. Il m’a rapporté mon verre avec un rajout de fraise, et c’est tout. Il ne m’a pas été ensuite demandé si cela était mieux au contraire, il est passé en salle dix minutes avant la fin de l’happy hour pour nous demander si nous souhaitions commander autre chose. Je lui ai dit que vu le résultat du verre servi c’était peu probable, il m’a simplement répondu « désolé » et s’est éloigné très rapidement sans chercher à dénouer la situation. À l’addition, je lui ai demandé de ne pas me facturer le verre, qui n’avait pas été consommé. Il a déclaré qu’il n’y était pour rien si le verre n’était pas satisfaisant et a refusé. J’ai proposé qu’on me serve autre chose à valeur équivalente, il a accepté, mais j’étais déjà sur le départ et je regrette qu’il n’ai pas eu la démarche avant qu’on se présente à la caisse, puisqu’on allait pas se rasseoir juste pour ma conso. (On était 4) J’étais donc un peu piégé, je n’ai en rien profité de cet instant. En résumé, il n’y a eu aucun suivi sur la satisfaction clientèle, (un autre verre à table était très moyen, aperol Spritz). They have a small patisserie with very nice looking products and a beautiful courtyard garden. Very friendly waiter who was helpful in translating the menu, as apparently the website menu did not correspond at all with reality. Food itself was OK, certainly did not excel (chicken tasteless, like plastic; classic burger microscopic amount of cheese), however great place to have a drink and maybe a quick bite.

This gorgeous cafe is sometimes our main reason to visit St Raphael. Fabulous teas, great cakes, lots of cocktails. Haven’t tried the food yet but I’m convinced it would be excellent. Inside it’s really big and there’s a beautiful garden at the back with lots of shade in the summer. We first discovered this place about four years ago when I was desperate for a cup of tea and saw on Google Maps a place called ‘Mugs’.
