Endlich mal geschafft & letztlich hat es sich gelohnt. Moderater Eintrittspreis. Bis auf einen anderen Besucher war ich alleine, wenn man vom Filmteam von France 2 absieht, das gerade Teile einer Reportage zum anstehenden 40. Todestag von Louis gedreht haben.

Man sieht viele Originalfotos & Filmplakate. Die Deko ist liebevoll gestaltet. An den verschiedenen Stationen gibt es Bildschirme mit Filmausschnitten. Die Filme sind englisch untertitelt. Im Museumsshop vermisst der Fan einiges. Schmale Auswahl.

Warum nur 4 Sterne? Ohne Eile ist man in 1 Stunde locker durch. Wenn man alle Filmbeiträge sieht vielleicht etwas länger. Der Mensch hinter den Filmen bleibt allerdings verborgen. Wenig Texte. Aber auch die immer in französisch & englisch. Ich war unter idealen Bedingungen dort. 2 Besucher. Im der Hauptsaison sicherlich zu klein. Man könnte die Sammlung sicherlich noch deutlich ausbauen & schrittweise ergänzen. Zuhause habe ich z.B, ein altes frz. Buch, dass spannende Blicke hinter die Kulissen von Fantomas erlaubt. Dies fehlt z.B. im Museum leider vollkommen.

Ich stellte mir die Frage, warum das Museum in dieser Stadt ist. Die Antwort des sehr freundlichen Mannes an der Kasse teile ich hier gerne: früher wurde die Sammlung auf dem Schloss von de Funes gezeigt. In der Nähe von Nantes. Dieses wurde verkauft. Der Bürgermeister von Saint-Raphael hat sichbei der Enkelin um die Sammlung bemüht & den Zuschlag bekommen. Ziel war es auch, die Sammlung einer größeren Menge zugänglich zu machen.

Fazit: Gut, aber ausbaufähig! Da gibt es noch viel Luft nach oben. Sicherlich wären viele Sammler bereit Ihre Schätze als Dauerleihgabe zur Verfügung zu stellen. Dann müsste die Fläche allerdings deutlich vergrößert werden. Nur so als Anregung, denn die Sammlung bleibt doch sehr an der Oberfläche & ist so nur für wirkliche Fans...
