3 Brasseurs Dunkerque — Restaurant in Dunkirk

We stopped in Dunkerque for one night for an early train the next day back to the UK and were so happy to have found this place whilst searching Google Maps for somewhere to eat.

I love this style of place - big, modern, good atmosphere, amazing beers, and solid food choices. There were families, friends, and couples all enjoying the big space and modern decor.

The amber beer was really smooth and very easy to drink, and the beer cocktails were also really good! It's very easy to drink on a warm night.

The food was good, the Flammekueche especially was amazing - we had the goats cheese and honey one and it was delicious. Could've eaten 10 😂

Our waitress was lovely and could speak very good English, we only had a French menu, but it wasn't too hard to figure it out with the French we know and Google Translate. If the waitress hadn't spoken English we would have been able to order ok, so it's really nice they can speak English but it's France so it shouldn't be a must-have expectation!

I just really like the vibe of the place, and I think if I lived in Dunkerque, I'd be down here all the time!

The only improvement is that on the Ceaser salad, in the image on the menu, the sauce was in a dish on the side, but when it came the salad was totally covered in it, and it was really quite thick. The sauce was lovely, you could really taste the anchovy but... it would have been nice to have been able to put it on ourselves in the amount we want not super thick all over. Clients depuis des années nous venons manger assez souvent aux 3brasseurs car jusqu'ici nous avons toujours été satisfaits. Grosse déception lors de notre venue vendredi soir dernier, nous étions une table de 4, mon conjoint a commandé un burger Big Ben et ma soeur un Ch'ti mi. Dans le Big Ben se trouvait une tranche de maroilles (visible car pas fondue), mon conjoint la remarqué de suite, me montre et nous goûtons et effectivement c'est bien du maroilles. Quant au burger ch'ti mi il est censé contenir une tranche de maroilles + de la sauce mais là pas de tranche de fromage. Mon conjoint appelle un serveur pour le faire remarquer, celui ci en parle à son supérieur (je présume) font le point sur notre commande, regarde nous disent que c'est du cheddar et pas du maroilles, ce a quoi nous retorquons qu'on l'a goûté et que ce n'est pas du cheddar. L'assiette repart en cuisine et revient telle qu'elle car on nous soutient que c'est du cheddar. On insiste, après plusieurs allers retours en cuisine,le supérieur nous demande s'il peut se permettre mais on n'a pas le temps de répondre qu'il touche le burger pour soulever le pain et regarder, tout ça pour nous rétorquer que c'est du cheddar, mon conjoint ne veut plus du burger qui a été touché par l'employé (qui était majoritairement a la caisse soit dit en passant) et en réclame un autre. 15 minutes de perdu pendant que nous mangions, pour avoir un autre burger... Ma soeur a laissé tomber pour sa tranche de maroilles manquante (certainement celle qui était dans le burger de Mr ...) De plus installés entre la caisse et un poteau un serveur bouscule 2 fois la chaise de ma mère... Serveurs sous pression a courir comme toujours dans ce resto. En bref la soirée a été gâchée, nous ne sommes pas du genre pointilleux et exigeants mais il ya des limites ! Nous ne reviendrons...

Horrible Place! Food was decent, the place looks nice however the staff is easily the worst we’ve ever experienced. We are not fluent in French and from the beginning they seemed sceptical to serve us. When the communication was hard the waiter rolled her eyes and just left just, we had to wait quite a while until someone else came. They visibly made fun of us and treated us without any respect. This is not how to deal with paying customers nor anyone else! You should really think about how to fix that issue because like that this place is unbearable! I advice...
